Blog postMusic, when soft voices die,Vibrates in the memory—Odours, when sweet violets sicken,Live within the sense they quicken.Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,Are heaped for the belovèd's bed;And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,Love itself shall slumber on. Considered a poetic fragment, I find these two verses by Shelley complete in their simplicity. Unlike … Continue reading Poetry: Shelley – Music, When Soft Voices Die

Blog postBut by missing the grace, by infantilizing the men, by ignoring the evident Christian themes to prove a completely separate point, their story loses its heart, because the miracle, the Encanto, was to be loved by a father so much that he gave his life so his family might live.1 week ago Read more

Poems paint time, describing our portion of the world as it was, is, and perhaps will be. These words, rhymes, and meters find secret places in our heartbeats, connecting us to the past, idealizing moments, and pushing us on in hope. Most of all, poems are stories of the heart. And that is what you will find in this little book.
In Where the Moss Grows Old, you will find yourself journeying from the minuscule details of the morning to the hidden treasures of night. You will listen in on a serenade, mourn a death, and find life again. You will find in these little stories the captured moments of a life that came before and a future yet to hold. And as you read, perhaps you will discover that these stories of nature, life, wonder, and love are a part of you.
