A couple things worth noting- I feel the robe runs a bit on the larger & shorter side. I normally wear a M but fit comfortably into the small. This may not be an issue for most though as having a bit of extra fabric in a robe isn't usually a major problem. It does not come all the way down to my knees, but falls just a couple inches above. I am approx 5'5" for reference.
First, the good. It's light and, as my wife is petite, ends slightly over the knee but the hem doesn't dangle so far down that it would get in the way. In that regard it's a perfectly acceptable robe. It has nice roomy pockets too.
The problem however is that this is not a particularly feminine cut. That's perhaps what's meant by "kimono-style," but my wife felt it wasn't particularly flattering -- it could just as easily be worn by a man and you wouldn't necessarily know it was a woman's robe. It's also light enough that you won't be wearing this in the Fall or Winter, so be aware that even though it's made from cotton, it's a very thin cotton.
This robe is more likely something you would wear after taking a shower on the way to your clothes, and not something you would wear around the house in the morning while you're making coffee. Caveat emptor.
The pockets are deep and that's a must for her. She can throw it in the washing machine and if she turns it on it'll wash it (I'm just seeing if you're paying attention now). She says it's easy care.
The material is very thin but not see thru thin. She says it works great in and out of the shower.
She says Five Stars.
It would probably be great for a more petite wearer, but for me, it's simply not what I was looking for.
This Kimono robe is perfect! Nice and lightweight so it's not too uncomfortable to wear when the temperatures are high. Wraps around my body and covers everything so I am able to just slip it on and go outside to take the dogs out or just walk around the house.
Has 2 nice deep pockets, which I love in a robe.
Because the material is thinner than most robes, I wouldn't walk around the house, when others are here, without having something on underneath it.
I did wash it in cold water, partially dried it on low heat, and hung it to finish drying. If there was some shrinkage, I didn't notice it.
Plenty of room to move freely with the robe on but not too loose where you feel that I'm swimming in it.
