Not this violin. The mildest of pressure on the strings produces perfect, scratch-free tone. Light weight, beautifully made, it also comes with two bows, one wood, one carbon fiber, a very lovely case and very nice rosin.
I would recommend that if you are serious about learning, even as an adult learner, but you don't want to spend a lot of money on a really great violin, maybe you're not sure if you want to play or not, then try to find a store that will allow you to rent a good violin for a period of time. You can then decide for yourself if it's for you and then if it is, you can buy THIS violin and enjoy your learning experience without the tired hands and oh that horrible scratch....LOL! Enjoy!
