Maggi seasoning is awesome. there are some things to pay attention to though. the stuff labeled made in germany is the REAL maggi sauce, and is meant for meats like worstershire sauce. the stuff labeled from china is made in a soy sauce style and goes best in like stir frys. the stuff from mexico is germany style but with some jalepeno flavor. its pretty critical to know which version you are getting as they are really different. unfortunately Amazon does not state which "version" this is, but that does look like the chinese version labeling.

I grew up with Maggi in our household as my parents were from Germany and always had a way of getting the good old "Maggi Gewürz" shipped to us and keeping stock in our kitchen. The original seasoning is great, but this one is a little different (trust me I know), it is made in Mexico and for a fact the ingredients are a little different, there are more preservatives in this one than the original, thus the taste is NOT quite the same.

no resemblance to german maggi.this stuff is made in china and is like a poor quality soy sauce.apparently maggi is made in several countries and they do NOT use the same formula.I recently bought this one

Amazon needs to split this listing into at least three different listings. I have ordered from two different sellers (Pantry Essentials and Octopus's Garden) and both times received the Mexican version of this product, "Maggi Jugo" on the label, with Soy as the first ingredient. The listing is for "Maggi Seasoning", with an ingredient list that includes NO soy. This one includes no gluten ingredients (of interest to people with gluten issues) but it's soy that I can't have.
The Mexican version has only 2 ingredients: Hydrolyzed Soy Protein and Caramel Color. (Made on equipment that also processes wheat and milk)

The different versions (German, Chinese, Mexican and any others I am not aware of.) obviously have radically different ingredients.
Amazon has been informed and they told me they are going to be editing the item listing to be broken up and corrected, but who knows if that will actually happen.

The different localities of the Maggi Seasoning Sauce do taste slightly different! I lost a bet to my son - He was right, the Wurze has a different flavor form the Asian "Seasoning Sauce". Put about one teaspoon of Maggi Seasoning Sauce in about a teaspoon pf Huy-Fong Sriracha and you have the best dipping sauce EVER!
