I'm a Vitamix Convert!!! We love our new Nutribullet Rx!
We have been Vitamixers for 15 years. My parents were are Vitamixers, my grandparents are Vitamixers and all my siblings are Vitamixers too. It seems to be one of those things that run in families like Ford or Chevy. Anyway, we have ALWAYS used Vitamix blenders and they've been great, but our old one needed a new blade (I had already replaced it once) and even though the motor was still good, I wanted to see how far blending technology has come since we bought our Vitamix 15 years ago. I have heard great things about the Nutribullet, but was put off by the small size of the canister and the lack of different types of lids and pitcher spouts etc. Then I found the Nutribullet Rx which offers a canister size close to that of our Vitamix and I was sold! I asked for it for Christmas. I/we have used it at LEAST 3 times a day since Christmas and I'm a huge fan! I drink two smoothies per day, my husband likes to make milk shakes with it and my son who is autistic and has a very limited selection of foods he will eat gets a smoothie for dinner every evening. It's the only way we are able to sneak protein and fruits and veggies and probiotics and everything he needs into his diet. He is VERY picky! If there is even the slightest chunk of something or his smoothie isn't perfectly blended, he will refuse the entire thing. So far this has been an absolute winner for our needs!I thought my old Vitamix had been doing a good job blending my greens but it wasn't until I tried this one that I realized it had been leaving bits that the nutribullet blends COMPLETELY buttery smooth! Frozen fruits that caused our vitamix problems (banana, avocado, strawberries and peaches) are usually no sweat for the nutribullet. It's faster, easier to clean and takes up less space on our counter. I LOVE it! I only have a few complaints:* It really irritates me that they didn't put liquid measurements on the pitchers/cansiters. That's such an simple things that you just take for granted that blender companies do! Alas, these pitchers don't have measurements so I had to write them on with a sharpie for convenience and easy of use. It's really, REALLY dumb that they didn't do that.* We have found that if you allow it to run its cycle and shut off automatically, the resulting beverage is too warm. If you're making soup or bulletproof coffee then no problem, but for smoothies, bad news. These blades spin fast and blend fast and in our experience, the smoothie is ALWAYS done MUCH sooner than the auto shut off, so we just push the button to stop it manually or pull the canister off the base which also stops it. Even then, we have to be careful not to let it go too long or add extra ice cubes to compensate because we find that this heats up the contents WAY faster than our vitamix use to. Just something to be aware of.*While we find this way easier to clean than our old vitamix, this blade assembly isn't allowed in the dishwasher. Sure it's not hard to wash by hand, but I always have to deduct "points" for kitchen gadgets that have parts that are not dishwasher safe. At least if you're going to make a part that can't go in the dishwasher, include a special brush or something for cleaning it by hand, or some sort of stand to put it on while it dries or isn't in use. We end up letting it dry in the sink and keep it on its side on the blender itself (see pics).*The only other thing I miss about the vitamix is the ability to choose my speed and power level. This thing does not have that ability. That keeps it simple which is nice, but I just want to mix instead of blend or extract nutrients and full power/speed is way overkill. It would be nice if it at least had an option for low and high speeds. All of that being said, when you compare the price of the vitamix and the nutribullet Rx with the performance and features, what you get for your money in the nutribullet Rx is FAR SUPERIOR in value to what you get from a vitamix or probably a blendtec for that matter (though I can't speak from personal experience). Before you spend hundreds on one of those blenders that has a lawn mower engine, I highly recommend you try the nutribullet Rx first. It gets very heavily used every day and has yet to find a fruit, vegetable or powder that it can't COMPLETELY emulsify.I sincerely hope this review has been helpful to someone else! And yes, I paid full price for this. Feel free to ask any questions!
This blender kit is amazing. I already had a blender, but I didn't realize that this has more than twice the power of my old blender, so I'm putting my old blender in the shed. I bought this set because I wanted to be able to blend into my cup. I didn't realize this blender is hilariously gigantic. The smallest cup holds about 4 cups of liquid. This is a lot for me, but it just barely passes as a "personal" size cup. I'm very happy with this set but I had no idea what I was buying.
I used this today to make cashew milk for my coffee. One cup of cashews and 20 ounces of water gave me thick, frothy milk. Next time, I will ensure the water is very cold and add a date to sweeten it. What I like about making cashew milk is that I don't have to filter the milk. This is so convenient. I just moved and didn't have my Vitamix available. I also gave away my old Nutibullet recently. This Nutribillet RX is far more powerful, and I like it. So far, I am pleased with the machine.
I’ve made smoothies in other blenders none have the power and speed of this one. It’s fast. And the ability to make soups in slightly longer than microwaving a can, but with healthier ingredients- huge plus. And clean up is a breeze.
My wife had been wanting a Nutra Bullet for some time so I purchased one for her for Christmas. She loves it. Uses it all the time for chopping, mixing, etc. She uses it to make fresh salsa for dinner. It works great, cleans up easy and does not take up a lot of storage space.
We very much like this blender as it meets our specific needs very well, much better than a large blender, a glass blender, or a less powerful blender of any kind. Since we are two adult smoothie-lovers who like large smoothies daily, the provided 3-cup smoothie cups with drinking lids that can be closed after each sip easily are perfect for us. It's so much easier and faster to get great nutrition from a super fast and easy smoothie than to cut up everything and eat each chunk and leaf one by one.
Also, we are super excited about using the smoothie bowl maker to make almond butter, tahini (I hope), hummus, guacamole, and other thick things like that. We haven't done it yet, but we're foodie types with tons of spices and other healthy ingredients on hand, so this is a great part of this blender.
Now, I want to say that I went back and forth about whether to get a large glass blender as I'd had before or whether to get this BPA-free plastic individual smoothie cup blender with the nut butter cup included. Because the glass jar on our previous blender was so heavy and yet the jar wasn't quite big enough for us each to get a large smoothie, and because we really only used it for smoothies, it made far more sense for us to get this blender. As a professional writer, my hands have been overused, so avoiding the heavy, full glass jar is great. Having said that, the smoothie cups are so large that we can actually use only one of them and then pour nice servings for each or pour out half for each and then add some juice or plant milk. So, it's really perfect for us in terms of the capabilities and provided containers.
We're very happy we bought it, but there are two downsides to be managed:
1) The powerful motor is loud no matter what you make. This is typical of strong motors. Most blenders do not have noise shields though some are better sound insulated. I strongly recommend that everyone in the vicinity uses well-fitting earplugs. I got some soft ones that can be rolled into a small log and placed in m petite ear canals before expanding to reduce sound by 32db. I keep them in the drawer below the blender and either shut my son's door or make sure he has his noise-cancelling earbuds in or both. Again, this is not unique among blenders. The programs don't need any attention, so you can just push one button and walk away for the minute it takes to do it's job. It's not a big deal.
2) The powerful motor does produce heat as is true for other powerful motors. If you're going to use the extraction mode for a large smoothie without a lot of frozen items on a hot day, the tabs on the smoothie cup might soften due to the heat. It's not hot to the touch, mind you. But, I would take care in that instance to use a lot of frozen items and chill the liquid and other items if the kitchen is hot. Also, make sure there is plenty of ventilation around the blender to allow it to spit out the warm air and bring cooler air in. If you place this on a clean, dry counter on an island with a fan or breeze blowing on it and use plenty of very cold and frozen items, you should be fine. Just know that with any powerful blender (or juicer), the food will warm up due to the power of the motor. So, start with the items altogether being colder than what you want the final item to be. Another choice would be to peel the fruit, use less hard fruit unpeeled fruit, use more liquid and less solid food or maybe do this in a cold room.
Here are a couple of additional tips:
1) Rinse out the smoothie cups, lids, and blades immediately after use. If there isn't any fat in the smoothies, they should rinse to look clean. Leaving them longer or letting the residue dry on means you'll have to use a sponge or cloth to remove the bits on the inside. You'll still want to use dish soap, but rinsing immediately is very easy and fast.
2) After carefully washing the sharp blade assembly holding it in one hand and rinsing under lukewarm water, only using a sponge on a stick or soft brush if needed, gently shake off excess water and place at an angle upside down inside a clean 24 oz. yogurt container without the lid. That will allow the blades to drip dry and get ventilation to complete drying. Never toss it in the sink with other dirty dishes as the blades are sharp. I'd definitely keep this locked away from small children and supervise/assist older children until they are reliably safe with the blades. That's true for any blender blade a
If somehow the blender was quieter and didn't warm the ingredients noticeably, I'd give this five stars. That's a little bit unfair as the power of the motor and the price I paid ($89) was favorable compared to many other options. You can't really get a quiet, powerful blender without dealing with noise. Also, I haven't experienced the softening of the smoothie cup tabs except when using the longer extraction program to make smoothies from hard fruits with tough skins along with other ingredients. I suspect that most people will never encounter this concern, so it wouldn't be fair to really consider that a fault. I may be stretching the capabilities a little. You can't get all the features of glass in plastic, and I needed less weight in the container. So, I'm content so long as I can use a workaround such as using the shorter smoothie program, using more cold and frozen ingredients, providing more ventilation, etc. I consider this a problem I can probably avoid.
Overall, we are very happy with the blender. I don't recommend this or other powerful blenders unless you use ear protection of some kind, though.
I use a wheelchair and have limited hand function, so dropping things is a real problem. I recently started drinking daily harvest smoothies, which come with all the ingredients already cut up, but everything is frozen and some flavors have nuts. My small blender just couldn’t handle it and I have had difficulty managing larger blenders physically in the past.
A friend recommended this model, so I decided to give it a try. It works great! it has enough power to handle the frozen ingredients and I really like the way it blends for one minute at a time. There is a power button on the side that you use to put it into standby mode, and that was manageable for me. After that, just putting the pitcher on the motor will start the cycle, and lifting it off will stop it again. That was easier than I expected it to be.
The attached handle is a nice size and works well, so I don’t worry about dropping it. And the pitcher pours nicely.
I am using this almost every day, and I’m very pleased with it. I haven’t tried it with any hot ingredients, but I got it to manage smoothies with frozen ingredients and it does a good job of that.
The NutriBullet Rx blender has truly surpassed my expectations with its exceptional engineering, particularly the steel assembly that not only guarantees durability but also maximizes the full potential of its impressive 1700 watts of power. The robust construction of the blades ensures efficient blending of even the toughest ingredients, turning the NutriBullet Rx into a powerhouse in the kitchen. The added heating function is a game-changer, allowing me to effortlessly transition from smoothies to soups and sauces with the same appliance. This versatility has made me feel like an expert soup and saucier chef, all thanks to the NutriBullet Rx.
Moreover, the attention to detail in the design is evident in every component. All the parts are well-built, and cleaning is a breeze. The sturdiness of the blade, a notable improvement from previous NutriBullet models, adds an extra layer of confidence in its longevity. The NutriBullet Rx is a top-tier blender that not only meets but exceeds the demands of a busy kitchen. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a reliable, powerful, and versatile blender that truly stands the test of time.
Ha mejorado notablemente mi alimentación, mi esposa todos los días se lleva un vaso de jugo o extracto de verduras y / o frutas a su trabajo; el precio es alto, pero su desempeño es excelente y su manejo muy sencillo.
This is a very good product. Did some research on which Nutribullet model to buy, as there are several. Chose the Nutribullet Rx model finally. Though it is a bit expensive, it has 3 features that I found worth the extra price. 1. Higher motor rating compared to many other models. 2. Intelligent start / stop function rather than the manual options. 3. Most of all, the soup maker option, which allows the user to make cold & room temperature shakes and smoothies, as well as hot soups. 4. While I am not certain, have read reviews of some users on the more basic and cheaper models on offer to probably not be originals. The one I got is just fine. Have tried all options - cold shakes, smoothies and hot soups, and the unit is really versatile and worth the price is my personal opinion.
El nutribulletRx es una maravilla deja tus juegos y sopas con una exquisites que me tomó y como con mucho más facilidad que me ayuda a llevar una vida más sana.
