Authors should tell when it's NOT A COMPLETE STORY.
I won't buy anoymore books from this author.
For the benefit of potential readers, I will repeat what I wrote then, because I compared the previous editions and this current one and determined they contained the same contents:
The writing is good and the story interesting, but -- and to me it's a big qualifier -- this is NOT a complete story, it's the first third, or perhaps half, of a story. If you want and expect a complete story, wait until the authors finish the story. I obtained parts 1 and 2 a long time ago, and so you may be waiting quite a while for the balance of the story.
I wish the authors well, they have some writing talent, but I think it only fair to make it completely clear that this is only a fraction of a book.
Throughout the book hints of magic are dropped in but not expanded on greatly. I suspect there is more to come regarding that aspect in books to follow in the series. There is no explicit adult content in this book and no coarse language so I would happily hand this to a teenager to read.
Overall I found this a lovely read and I would definitely be inclined to pick up the second book of the series. It could be a pleasure for readers of all ages. Beautiful!
