This book almost reads as if written for young adults but it provides a good overview of the pantheon of the ancient Celts which forms a basis for the Druid spirituality and to some extent, other pagan pathways. Each deity's aspects and history is given in almost a 'story' form which makes the mythology personal and clear and connects these gods to the modern world. A good addition to the bookshelf of students of world mythology, those with the Celtic roots many of us possess, and anyone interested in the pagan revival spirituality in its many and varied paths. Not too esoteric or deep but accessible and entertaining as well as informative.

I think this is a very good book on the over-all belief's of the ancient Celtic God & Goddesses, and many of their spiritual practices. I would recommend this book as a good introduction to this subject, it is well researched. Check out the other reviews to get a better well-rounded opinion of it.

The authors have presented one of the first popular efforts to explain the Irish and Welsh Gods in a way that Neopagans will understand and appreciate. The book is written with a moderately reconstructionist sensibility that helps break down modern misunderstandings of Celtic lore, but it maintains a friendly and instructive voice that doesn't put the reader off. Scholasticly sound without being stuffy, and spiritually aware as well.

This book is only an introduction to the old religions, and how the stories were told . Doesn't tell you much about the gods and the roles they play.

This book introduces readers to some of the more well known celtic gods and goddesses and the myths surrounding them. Also includes virtues of each god and goddess, how to honour them in your own life, holy days associated with them, and suggestions on how to incorporate spirituality into your own life. This book is not meant to be a detailed academic account but a simple introduction to the celtic gods and goddesses and spirituality.
