It's the easiest thing in the world to use and makes really good coffee. I find that my coffee stays hot for hours after the machine turns off and the last cup is as fresh as the first. The instructions for use and caring are simple and easy to follow, too. I've had my Magic Chef Coffee Maker for about 3 months now and am thrilled with it. I'd definitely buy one for a friend or recommend one to anyone.

Here are some issues when switching from basic Mr coffee to this model. When filling I have to guess how much water is in pot. It's only 8 cups which is really 4. When you pour the last cup it dribbles out the side of the cover onto the kitchen counter. When pot is brewing a good amount of steam comes out the top making the cabinet above wet. I also use filters on top of the internal washable filter because it lets too many grounds through. Other than that it's ok.

It is not easy to clean and when I pour a cup of coffee, it drips on the counter. I like it being small and not taking up much space on the counter. For the price, it's adequate.

I purchased the Magic Chef 8 Cup Coffee Maker approx 2 and a half months ago. Today for no reason that I could find it stopped brewing. It didn't even try to start this morning. I really liked the Idea of the Thermos - like pot. Too bad it's a bunch of junk. I will not buy another Mr Coffee anything.

This thing from some crazed engineer is worthless. Did it mention Aroma as brewing? Never happens. Hard to put the water in. And the thermos does NOT keep it hot or even warm; plus it does not clean well.
It is all plastic so plastic emits fumes over a long period of time--any plastic (this is why this inside of your windshield is foggy--it is the plastic fumes not dirt). So with this maker you get a bad tasting coffee no matter how you make it or which coffee you try. Save your money and buy a percolater like we did.
