That's what happened with Magic Forgotten. Jack Hillman happens to be from my area, so I decided to give this book a look. I am glad I did. Mr. Hillman has created a story line that incorporates both modern day local significance with some good old magic. As an added little twist, the main character also is handicapped due to an accident. This presents the challenge of developing a story that delves into the imaginative world of magic and sorcery while also overcoming physical, mental, and emotional barriers.
Well done! The story held my imagination throughout, and also left a bit of an impact to how I view disabled individuals. I never really thought much about it, but after this book, it gives me a better perspective of life's challenges.
I believe this is the first book of a trilogy - GOOD. I would like to read more about these characters and how much deeper they develop.
Take a look at Magic Forgotten. You'll enjoy the premise, the interactions of the characters, and how the story line flows from beginning to end.
