But hey, I can sell or trade some cards with no risk and some of the doubles are worth $1 -$3 per card potentially. So paying $5 for duplicate cards is still a bargain as a hobbyist.All this being said, I'm more than likely to repeat this purchase. No regrets at all.

    This product was literally outstanding.

    I had purchased this lot in order to get back into magic, because all my cards were too old to be used.

    I read many, many, MANY reviews stating that the cards were in poor condition, or that there was excessive duplication. By the sound of it, I knew there was something wrong with the default supplier. As a result, I decided to go looking at other sellers. I went over to "More Buying Choices" and looked through the sellers. In the end, I chose The Gaming Broker, and what a great decision that was.

    The cards were packaged in a very tight, specially designed, box for transporting cards.

    The original description and reviews put me under the impression I would be getting older, second hand cards, from anywhere from 2004 and on.

    What I got was superb: A collection of 100% genuine, mint condition cards. But here is the kicker: None of them were older than 2012.

    No joke, every card was either from M13, Gatecrash, or Ravnica. Nothing less. I got the 25 promised rares, and approximately 75 uncommons.

    Here is the spread of colors I recieved:

    White: 189 Cards (about 125 Monsters)
    Blue: 183 Cards
    Green: 167 Cards
    Red: 163 Cards (90 Monsters)
    Black: 192 Cards (109 Monsters)
    Fusion cards, or Dual Colored: 116 Cards (64 Monsters)
    Artifacts: 73 Cards (Mostly Runes, but I did receive a few rings, and powerful scepters. 7 Monsters)
    Lands: 25

    A total of 1108 Cards!

    There were no Basic Land cards included.

    As for duplication, obviously there has to be dupes. We are talking about rougly 1000 commons here, there is no way they'd all be different! However, the duplications were pleasantly well rounded. Most cards will have 2 to 3 copies. Some with about 8 to 12 copies. The most dupes I saw of one card was about 20, but that was only one card.

    If you need a stock of cards to build decks, and would like a head start, this pack is absolutely perfect.

    If you are set with a lot of cards already, and are looking for a lot of rare cards, you should skip this one. However, if you are looking for commons to stock your decks, this lot wont fail you.

    Overall Review:
    -1108 Cards
    -Nearly perfect spread of color, very even distribution
    -Cards were MINT CONDITION and were from M13, Gatecrash, and Ravnica. THESE CARDS ARE STILL ON SHELVES IN BOOSTER PACKS.
    -25 Rares were delivered as promised, aswell as 75 Uncommons
    -Duplications were not excessive, and actually made the cards more appealling.
    -Packaging was specially designed to ship trading cards, and the cards were sorted by rarity (rares towards the front, commons towards the back)
    -Every card is accounted for, and every single one is undamaged

    10/10 Would, and probably will, Buy Again

    I've been playing magic for about 6 months now but have gotten quite addicted to it and have built up a decent collection. I play almost exclusively Commander with my roomates and friends and, before this purchase, had 7 well built decks to choose from.

    Side note, all of the people i play with have been playing for many years more than me so I got a lot of help from them in what's good and what's not.

    Down to the good stuff though. I saw this item and was skeptical based on the reviews but ~$17ish for 1000 cards and at least 25 rares is a very good deal, regardless of what I get. I decided I would go for just 1 box to see what I got and I was very surprised.

    I started on one side of the box and started pulling tons and tons and tons of commons, basically what I expected. My roomate started on the other side and started pulling rares, also expected. What was not expected was that at the end of sorting out the box, I ended up with over 200 rares. About 175 of them being really good cards (my scale of really good is how well they would work in Commander) 200 means roughly 175 packs (assuming you pull some double rares) at a minimum of $4/pack, usually more if you want older packs which is where many of these rares would be found, so that's a total of $700 minimum for 175 packs. I am slightly worried that this purchase might be a lemon and if i bought another one I wouldn't have near as much luck but I won't know till I try and I'm pretty sure my GF got me another one of these for Xmas so I will update around that time if it's consistent or not.

    I got a many duplicates of some commons, up to 15 in some cases, but that really wasn't what I bought the box for and shouldn't concern anyone looking to buy. With over 1000 cards, a few duplicates won't hurt much. Plus, I got a few duplicates of some cool rares as well. So no complaining here really.

    Here are a few of my favorite's

    -emmara tandris (legendary green/white creature) using for my new token deck
    -Higure, the still wind (legendary blue Creature) could be used for ninja deck
    -Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis (legendary black creature) going into black deck
    -Commander Greven il-Vec (legendary black creature) going into black deck
    -Seizan, Perverter of Truth (legendary black creature) going into black deck
    -Garruk's horde
    -alpha brawl
    -breath of fury
    many many many more, so many haha.

    With the the rares alone, I have the cards to make 4 complete commander decks (using a few legendary creatures I had on the side) as well as the cards to buff out several of my other decks.

    This was a very good purchase, one of the best I've made in Magic, I can only hope my next box is similar.

    I was very excited to order this box as I am getting back into the MTG hobby. Unfortunately, in this box there were cards from only 3 - 4 different sets and it was almost the same 50 - 100 cards over and over again. I kid you not, but I have 15 reckless soldiers, 12 giant mantis cards, 20+ ghouls. I would be okay with 5 or 6 copies, but even then, as I was going through the box it was the same cards throughout.

    I am returning this and would be hesitant to order anything else from them if this is their level of care and detail to a MTG experience.
