This book was non stop chaos. Wren and Nico faced obstacle after obstacle. Wren and Nico can't catch a break. This book picks up where book 1 left off. Not only does Wren need to process everything she endured previously now she's newly mated and dealing with what it means to be mated to an Alpha Wolf.

I love the growth between Wren and Nico. Nico loves her unconditionally even with her doubts and insecurities. Wren is finally an official Agent but still has a target on her back. Between her families hatred and Desmond the Dark Fae trying to get her; Wren will need all the help she can get. Its a good thing she has great friends and an Alpha Mate watching her back and keeping her safe from all the mayhem going on in her life.

Be prepared for Laughs, Sarcasm Galore and Steam as Wren and Nico work through their growing pains and forging their new lives together amongst the chaos and mayhem.

For some reason the second book is either way better than the first or just kind of meh. I guess this book falls somewhere in between. It was for sure not as good as the first book, and kind of felt like filler. You know how they have a story, but they don’t want to get to it until the third book and so the second book is just filled with nonsense that happens until you get to the meat of the story in the third book. That’s what this felt like to me. 4.0

Oh my goodness, what type of fabulousness did I just read?!

If you read the first book you are going to love the second. I mean Wren and Nico are just awesome together as we saw in the first book. This one just gets so much better.

I love their relationship. Nico loves Wren so much is amazing. And you can just tell Wren is like yeah right, I don’t believe you, much like the first book. But this book they just go through so much that it tightens their bond.

There is a lot going on in this one that you are stunned in awe by how it all comes together. I mean I have so many emotions, I really wanted to throw my kindle across the room a few times because I was just shocked.

The girls are back in this one, Fiona, Hannah, and Malia. They are such amazing friends. Wren is so lucky to have them. I definitely liked some of the other side characters that came back in this one.

There is some great action, drama, romance, comedy…ok ok you get it. It has the best of all of them. But man, the book kept me on the edge of my seat freaking out and waiting for what was going to happen next. And when it does, wow it just blew my mind.

I highly recommend this book!! It is SO good!!

We find a little more out about Wren, and her past, as well as deal with repercussions from her ordeals.
Nothing can go smoothly of course, and it results in a huge event and worrying ending.

An enthralling, action packed, fantasy adventure for fans of urban fantasy.

I love Wren and Nico. I love the beginning of the book when Wren does not quite understand how her and Nico ended up being married. after what happened at the end of the last book, Nico and Ren did not really want to be a part at all. Rent finds out that her family had put a curse on her since she was little and they’re drawing power from her. Unfortunately, she hast to almost died to get rid of the curse. She goes to meet Nico‘s family and that goes to help also then she gets used by a Fae as trade for someone else and get stuck in the fair realm. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Annie Anderson is the maestro of orchestrating a book that has you fully investing in characters from the get go.

I love how the first few pages keep the story moving but you get a highlight of what happened in the last book. Her run in with Girard and Desmond from book one and facing her family, you hope she manages to catch a break soon. She proves herself more than able to take on the test that the ABI throw at her and faces more tribulations as she navigates a new mating bond and finding her gift.

Mystery and mayhem is a perfect title for this book and delivers on all fronts. I patiently (not really) await the next instalment.

Can Wren develop her powers and work out what the heck is going on around her? You’ll have to read it and find out too.

Not all sequels are better than the first. Most are very close or far superior. Annie writes bangers every time, it doesn't matter if it's the 3rd in a series or the the 6th, all are a roller coaster ride.
Annie never disappoints and I was emotionally invested in this book, more so than the first. It was a rollercoaster the last half of the book but so well worth the read. More character growth from the main squeezes. Great plot points and just ... that ending! Loved it.

We pick up right at the end of Spells and Slip-ups, Wren and Nico having it out with Wretns grandmother. So good.
Things looked up for Wren with Nico's family. But nothing is ever as it seems in Annie's books.
The end was just one cliff hanger I did not see coming.
Read it!.
