The friends all met up at P&P at closing time. Roarke had a lead on where his brother could have gone after escaping from the Order’s prison – it was somewhere deep in the Florida Everglades. So he and Del headed there the next day. As it got dark in the swamp, the mangrove trees literally stepped in front of their airboat and tried to block their passage. Then an enormous Bigfoot-type creature grabbed Del and pinned her helplessly under his arm. Was their adventure over before they could reach their destination? Or was it only just beginning?
Like this entire series, this book is great. It’s entertaining and fast-moving. The characters are well developed. The story line is intriguing. You never know what is going to happen next, but the action keeps moving relentlessly onward! This really is one of those can’t-put-it-down books! Excellent writing, excellent story, what more could you ask for? I highly recommend this book! I was given a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it. My comments reflect my honest opinion.
And were back in the crazy world of the crew from Magic Bend as they put their heads together to find a way to help Del defeat the Shadows and their goal of opening a portal between the worlds so the demons can be set free.
I must say that this was my favorite installment of the series, so far anyways, because it felt more settled to me. I know that’s a strange thing to say because the Shadows are still wreaking havoc and Del is still working to gain more power in order to defeat them, but the secondary storylines that are woven into the main one are either resolved, like Roarke and Del’s relationship or they become resolved, like the whole what is going on Roarke’s brother deal. With those having been dealt with the focus is truly on how to defeat the Shadows and for me it allowed me to truly focus on just that and enjoy watching the pieces of the puzzle come together. And I must say that I really liked how everything came together and where things ended up at the end of the book.
As always, I really enjoy getting lost in this world that the author has created and this one was no exception. I loved hanging out with everyone and seeing how their relationships have evolved along the way. There were a few surprise twists tossed into the mix and I liked what they brought to the story and how they were resolved, if they were resolved that is. While the ending isn’t necessarily a cliffhanger, it does have me wanting the next book sooner rather than later, so bring on the next installment!

Del is on a mission to outwit the Shadows that are hunting her but luckily she's not alone. Seeing her interact with her 'sisters', her friends and now her lover Roarke is always fun but this time the author has them catching up with Roarkes brother but he's not an ally or is he? Del is being manipulated in such an insidious way that it's impossible for me to say too much but I can say that she will be tested more than once and it's a jolly good thing she has those around who are determined to have her back.
I love the crazy mixture of paranormal , historical and even mythological ideas that all comes to glorious fruition in this series. The author often has me googling sights and legends as she brings life to the adventures her treasure hunting 'sisters' face. Whether it's stories from the wilder parts of Florida or lost settlements in Peru and don't get me started on what her idea of hell is! Yes there's always something happening to get the readers heart pounding. This edgy series is a delight to read and every book is a guaranteed gem. Read in order and enjoy the magic that is The Seeker books
A copy of this was provided for me which I have voluntarily read and these thoughts are my own honest opinion
This book is part of Del's story and it has been wonderful! I read these books so fast...I literally cannot stop reading once I start, so I am so grateful that this author is a prolific writer! I love that I can enjoy these characters on a regular basis, rather than waiting a year between books. I will re-read all of these books many times.
I am waiting with bated breath for the 5th and final book in this series(Del's story), and then the first book in Nix's story.
My hope is that once each of the sister's story has been told, there will be more books that feature all of them! That would be epic :D
