The Lula and Maglula loaders and unloaders are military-quality rifle magazine loaders and un-loaders for magazines. They facilitate both loading of loose rounds into a magazine and unloading them out of the magazine. They do so fast, safely, comfortably, painlessly and reliably. Usable for tens of thousands rounds. These loaders/unloaders are reliable in all weather and significantly prolong the life of magazines. DOES NOT WORK WITH THE FOLLOWING MAGAZINES Wide-body mags > 1/2 inch such as any converted .22 magazines, magazines with depth > 1 1/8 inch (1.125 inch, 29mm), magazines with a projecting follower button such as Ruger MKI, MKII, MKIII and Walther P22, GLOCK 42 .380 ACP, Colt ACE .22 LR and Ruger LC380 .380 ACP. This is not an exhaustive list of what the magazine loader will not work with. Please see manufacturer's website for more details BEFORE ordering.

My only gripe is the price, I do think it is overpriced. Be sure to order the model that fit's your caliber magazine.
I picked this up hoping it would fit a single stack 9x18mm (Makrov) and happy to report it does just fine. The 9x18 is very similar size-wise to a .380 auto so I figured it would but nice to know it will in case you, too, are wondering.
With this gizmo even my wife can reload a mag in no time.
BTW - I did try the baby Lula on a compact 9mm Luger (9x19mm) single stack mag and that mag just won't fit into the throat of this loader. Just a little to big so if you are doing 9mm Luger, go for the larger version. Again, 9mm Makrov fits just fine.
I have 5 different .22LR single stack mags. It accepts only one, Sig Trailside, probably the least popular of the bunch. You can add Savage and Sako 22LR magazines to the list of the unacceptable. Note that these fit the loader's specifications: "Narrow bodied mags having total width less than 1/2" (including any side button), and normal / moderate angle of lips." They each meet those specifications, but are both too large side to side.
It appears that magazines must be at least 2.5" top to bottom, and, my best estimate, no more than about 1.2" side to side.
A bit expensive, but I'll keep it because of the Trailside, for which I highly recommend it. It also worked well on a friend's Ruger LCP .380.
Summary? Magazine should be at least 2.5" long, less than 1/2" thick, less than 1.2" side to side, and moderate angle lips.
I keep both of my UpLULA's in my range bag so they won't get lost because I would feel lost without them.
I don't like the price, but there is no better alternative than the Baby Lula. It definitely helps a lot at the range, so I don't have to struggle through wasting my time reloading my mag and breaking my fingers.
