Working great for power

I am only using these for power (charging) so I can only attest to that, but for my purposes these are working great. I got them to reduce wear and tear on Micro USB ports on some devices I'm charging daily. I wish they were round so that you didn't have to pay attention while connecting, but the round ones I found were too thick/large for my needs. These were the thinnest ones I could find.

Owning magnetic cables generally - I now need few charger cords and bricks in my life thanks to these. Love them. Makes plugging things in a less finicky process, and I need fewer cables for traveling. Leave a spare cable or two that you’ve replaced in your car incase a friend still needs a charge.

The Gen10 NetDot brand cables - I did a lot of reading before I bought these. There’s several different magnetic connector types and they all come with their individual pro’s and con’s. In my case, I wanted the best cable for the cheapest price that could handle a lot of current and data (for CarPlay and tethering). The magnetic mechanism by which these gen10 units were designed offers the most consistent performance (other units appear to get clogged up with dirt/grease easier, or make connections that go in an out during vibration), and they are super cheap. I measured mine with my USB ammeter and they have the same resistance as the nice oem or anker cables that were replaced. Only flaw I found was one of the cables in the package didn’t work with data, so I left that cable on my brick at home where I won’t ever need to use the data feature.

Update 1: I found the indicator light is always on no matter the magnetic connector is connected or not. That's quite distracting. I reduced the rating to 4 stars.

I am that kind of person who likes USB-C. However not all my devices are USB C, e.g. my Bose QC35 and MX Master 2S, and I still love them. Using this magnetic connector is the best workaround for those devices!

I purchased a previous generation for my micro USB devices and I'm still using the original connection and cord so I was pumped to buy this for my USB C device.

I purchased this in Oct and I have already been forced to throw out both of the connectors as they stopped connecting and charging my device. The quality and durability are no where near what the previous generation was. I don't know what you changed / why you felt the need to change but please go back to the old way as it held up way better.

I am giving it 3 stars instead of the lower 1 or 2 because the customer service was great and they were willing to send me 3 new connectors. So while I was out a functioning set for several weeks, I now have a set that works. Hopefully it was just a bad lot of ends.

Best solution for worn out charging ports

Use these for daughter’s fire tablet to extend the life and usability of the charging port on the tablet. The port failure has been the reason we’ve needed to replace many of our tablets in the past. This solves that issue because of the magnetic piece that stays in the port and the charging cord magnetically attaches for charging. No more pulling the charging cord in and out of port.

I have a wireless mouse and a wireless headset. Both items one of the biggest complaints is that they charge on micro usb instead of usb-c. Well these little gadgets make usb-c look stupid. Little adapter stays plugged into the mouse and headset and when I put the headset on the stand, just swiping the magnet by the headset locks it in and charges it. Mouse, same thing. Would probably work well with an xbox controller too.

I bought these to charge a wireless gaming headset and wireless game controller. One is usb-c and one is micro usb. I have had no issues with durability in the months that I have had these. They work great and make charging each device quick, meaning I am more likely to keep them charged. I highly recommend them.

The braided cables are a bit stiff and think so it would not be ideal to use often with something like a mouse because you would know the cable is there.

All in all i really recommend these.
