Excellent product - Fast/Quick Charge capable for my LG V10

I purchased a set of 2 for $21.99 - at that price point this is an Excellent item (since then the price has risen to over $33 for a set of 2 - while it is a good product a $33 price point seems a bit high) - The magnet is strong enough to do the job. I tested to see if it would hold my phone held vertically - it did. Sometimes you do have to make sure that it has seated properly - it doesn't happen often.
One item to note - if the Micro USB hole on your phone is already loose due to age and use (cables you plug into your phone wiggle and sometimes don't make good contact - ie - you have to jiggle the cord to make it start charging) this may not be a good product for you. I bought this item to use on a phone that was 1 yr old - the magnet was strong enough that when I was trying to disconnect the cord it would pull out the micro USB insert - which is very small and easy to lose. But my phone crapped out on my and I got a brand new one. On the new phone the micro USB port is tight and the tiny micro USB insert snaps in tightly so that the magnet doesn't pull it out when you try to remove the cord.
This cord does an exceptional job at transferring a charge - the cord supports fast charging (Quick Charge 2.0 on my LG V10). Occasionally it won't be fast charging (only regular charging) because the cord isn't seated perfectly and a simple adjustment fixes this. I haven't tried data transfer so I can't comment on this. I enjoy the product.
Also the outer coating of the cord is some type of fabric - the cord is extremely flexible - more like a string than a cord - which is nice because the resistance of a normal cord may cause the magnet not to seat correctly more often - the very flexible cord allows the magnet to connect and seat correctly almost every time.

Very convenient, magnets are plenty strong, but USB connector is a bit weak

Pros:
- Magnets are plenty strong, easy to attach and stay attached just fine, but come undone with a gentle tug.
- Saves the MicroUSB port in your phone from loosening up over time due to repeated plugging in / unplugging of cables.
- Very convenient to magnetically attach/disconnect your phone from the charger. You can easily do it one-handed or in the dark.
- I was concerned that it might not fit with my phone case, but the little magnetic adapter that stays in the phone is very small and fits in every case I've used it in.
- "Cool factor".

Cons:
- The LED light on the charger cable is VERY bright. I charge my phone on my night stand next to my bed, so I ended up putting a piece of tape over the LED so it doesn't keep me awake.
- The cables themselves are very sturdy, fabric-wrapped cables, but the USB connector (the side that goes into the charger/computer, not the side that goes into the phone) is kind of weak. I pulled too hard on the cable once and broke the connector at that spot, but I like these cables so much that I just purchased more of them.

Overall, yes, I'd recommend them - but you might want to buy a spare.

Very pleased, well made and highly functional

Really high quality feel. Magnet action is strong enough to pull together nicely, weak enough to not rip the smaller bit out of the device. The contacts are recessed behind a lip on the cable part, which is the part with the magnets, so you can totally stick the cables to any random old thing when they aren't connected to the device without shorting the pins. I stick mine to the lamps on my nightstand and endtable when not in use.

Braided sleeve is nice. Has at least some strain relief at the connectors. Came with a couple straps for wrapping/taking up slack/storage, which was a nice bonus, too.

All in all, best micro usb cables I've had, and a must for anyone paranoid about repeated connect/disconnect cycles, or sideways force on the connector damaging the port on your device. With this you leave the one end in the device, and if the plug gets bumped, it will disconnect instead of transferring force to the port in your device. If your phone doesn't have wireless or magnetic charging, this is the next best thing.

Not super thrilled about the color, wish it were just silver, but it's kinda... peach-ish silver, but it looks like it does in the pic so no deduction for that.

They can be connected any way their is no wrong way making it that much easier.
Also like how it keeps dust and dirt out of the phone's charging port.

Excellent Idea, Terrible execution. Ill do a pros and cons list...

Pros:
easy connection to the power cable
braided cable

Cons:
charges at about 1/2 the speed of a normal non-magnetic chord.
can not quickcharge or even charge at a regular rate
The microusb is difficult to remove from your phone due to its size.
the magnetic connection gets extremely hot while charging (at half speed at best)

thats pretty much all there is to it. its a very slow chord, my standard charger chord charges my phone about 1-2% per minute. i tested a regular chord against this one and in 30m i got +12% with this chord and +40% with a regular chord. the convenience of the magnetic chord isnt worth the inconvenience of the lack of charge speed. not worth it.

Great Idea/Good Deal

I ordered these because my wife had a very nice table that she liked a lot until the charging port broke off from the motherboard. It does seem that the charging port is a very weak point in the design. Not only does this cable fix the problem of snapping the charging cable or port it is also a much faster charging cable than the factory original. The cables are also braided nylon instead of plastic coated so they are much more supple and durable then the originals. I plan on buying another set for our phones.

Slow Charge, tempermental cord

It works but it only slow charges and i noticed that the chord is a bit iffy at times. sometimes ill connect it and will work right away while other times i have to disconnect and reconnect it to get it to start charging. after a while i figured out theres a certain way the cable like to be connected to make it work. for a proect that should be plug and play, thats a pretty big downer.
