While visiting one of my neighbors this summer I noticed they had one of these magnetic screen doors on their back door. They have a pool in their backyard and constantly have people going in and out so their magnetic screen door was put to good use.

My computer desk sits right by the sliding back door that leads to the back yard. I never have the door open because we don't have a screen on it and we inevitably get bugs coming in. I'm constantly telling the kids to shut the door because they all too often leave it open when they come in and out. I saw an opportunity to review iGotTech's magnetic screen door and applied for the chance to review it hoping it would allow me to keep my door open now that the weather is cooling off enough for me to want to have my windows and doors open.

There is an installation video available on YouTube that shows you how to install this screen door.

My husband watched the video and then I helped him install this door. All total it took us less than 30 minutes to watch the video and get this installed properly. Installation was easy.

We did have to adjust the Velcro once because we had the screen pulled too tight on the first attempt and it wouldn't close properly once we walked through it. My husband gave it a little more slack and it now closes easily when you walk through it.

You can currently purchase this screen door on Amazon for less than $30. This is an economically option for those looking for a screen door. This is higher quality than I thought it would be and I'm hoping it will last us more than just one fall and winter. In the summer months when I have to keep my door closed 24/7 due to desert heat this can easily be removed and stored until needed.

My Rating: 4.5 Stars - Highly Recommend

Have you ever had one of those ah-ha! moments where you see an item that you never knew existed and you didn't know you needed, but the second you see it you realize it is EXACTLY what you require? That was my experience with the Magnetic Screen Door from iGotTech!

Ever since I got joint custody of the Mighty Thor Thunderpaw, we've been leaving the back door open that leads out onto the deck and the gated outdoor areas he's allowed to play in. This wasn't a problem at first, except for a cold draft, but the arrival of warmer weather has brought an onslaught of bugs and flying creatures. I don't like to kill bugs but I definitely don't want them in my house so it's become a real issue.

Apparently someone was reading my mind. When I saw this magnetic screen door, I jumped at the chance to review it. And my first instinct was right! This is exactly what I needed all along. First of all, it's so easy to install. They've even made a cute video to walk you right through the installation process.

The screen feels substantial, not flimsy, and attaches to all edges of your doorframe. It's fully reinforced and lined with heavy-duty Velcro and it comes with additional support nails to ensure that your screen doesn't fall and that no bugs can get through.

I love that humans and pets can just walk right through it and it falls back into place automatically. Thor was a little reluctant at first, but after explaining and demonstrating to him a few times he was right back to his kingly indifference.

I also love that it comes with a 100% money back guarantee if you aren't satisfied with your purchase. I couldn't be happier with this product. It's going to make dealing with the rest of the summer so much nicer!

I purchased this because I have two huge dogs and wanted something they could use without the high cost of an actual screen door plus a doggie door. I received this on time in two days with Prime shipping and installation was very easy, although I nailed in the Velcro with better nails then what was provided. Also, make sure you have placed the Velcro strips precisely because it will not stick as well if you have to pull it up. When the screen door was installed, I was very happy with how it looked and the magnets seemed to operate well by closing. Then came the problem. My dog managed to rip the screen within the first day!! Her paw caught on it and it didn't take much to tear. I was extremely disappointed and almost requested a refund but decided to request a replacement instead thinking that it was just a learning curve for my dog on how to open it (she literally would not go through it at first until she saw my other dog barrel through it a few times, lol). iGotTech was great about sending a replacement which I put up immediately, and since then I have not had a problem!! No tears and it works great for letting a breeze in the house on cooler days. My only suggestion would be to use better nails for the Velcro strips, make sure the screen is touching the bottom of the ground, and also make sure there is no pulling on the mesh material on any sides because then the magnets don't always catch. The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because the material isn't as tough as advertised. I purposely looked at tons of versions of this screen on Amazon so I could find one that had the thicker mesh that would stand up against my dogs. This one works for now but I have a feeling it won't last long. I'll update my review if that happens or if I end up finding a sturdier one but overall I'm satisfied with this purchase.
