PROS: Every single design in this book is intricate and unique. However, even if one design does remind you of another in the book, they are different enough to color in a way that your finished products will not necessarily look alike. I have not seen designs like this thus far. It is very satisfying coloring designs unlike any others before. They are far from simple, and that makes them very enjoyable to me personally.
CONS: The paper is double-sided printed. Additionally, this is a Green Edition book. Though I appreciate recycling, this paper is fairly thin, so you must be sure to use the correct medium and/or colors that won't bleed through and ruin the design on the other side. This has caused me to color some designs differently than I would have if I did not have to worry about that.
One improvement I wish I could make in production of the book - The printing is more "charcoal gray" than black. I believe the colored designs would look even better if the printing were a bit darker.
There are 32 great images that are intricate but also easy - I don't find myself spending too much time choosing colours and designs like I do with other books so it's more relaxing and the patterns are calming, hypnotising.
The paper is thick enough that your average (Crayola type) markers don't bleed through the pages in most cases, but the pages are double-sided which is a drawback for many people.
Markers look fantastic and make the designs really pop even with your basic 10-pack Crayola set, but pencils and crayons look great too. Each page is different and so versatile, it's really great for the price.
If you want to see a nice variety of coloring books for any and all ages, type in "dover coloring books" in the amazon search space and it will bring up a bunch. Have fun!
