I bought it for a nightstand for a very small space, it is perfect. Sturdy, nice looking finish on the wood, room for a small lamp and a cell phone. Easy to assemble, but before you start, read what another reviewer, Thomas L. Clark, said on 6/9/22: Carefully look at the pre-drilled holes in the legs. The bottom holes are countersunk from both directions but the rest of the holes are countersunk only on one side. Before you start installing the screws take note of those upper holes and make sure that the countersunk side face outwards. The bottom holes will work in either direction so don't make the mistake of installing some or all of them inside out.

Shelf is easy to assemble, and sturdy. But you have to make sure that the stand legs are facing correctly when installing shelves. The instructions do not mention this. The top of each leg has a hole for the top shelf with one side having a reamed recess (see picture) and the other side just a hole. Make sure that the reamed recess side is facing out, and the simple hole facing inward toward where the shelf will be. The other holes for the bottom shelf have both sides reamed, so make sure you check the top hole position as mentioned.

This plant stand is a nice addition to our collection of plants and stands. Make sure your pots are the right size, though, as we had to change our plans on which plants went where, because this stand doesn't hold the bigger plants we were hoping to put on it. They have to be small pots and lightweight. All in all, though, it's a nice plant stand.
