I LOVED this book! I can't wait to see what comes next. I am not really a fan of having to wait for the next part but I am sure that it will be just as good if not better. I loved how these two characters interacted. You get to see who they really are and who they try to show people that they are. Man if I had the chance to live in space just to get away from the UGH of this world I would jump at the chance, even if it was as a maid. I can only imagine what the Duke has up his sleeve for himself and Rachel. ~ Avid Avid Reader
From the Author
One of the things I attempt to do when writing about exceedingly wealthy individuals is to pull in the reality of their emotional lives. They struggle with the complexity of seeking out real relationships unhindered by their wealth, power, social status and influence.
We're fascinated by their exceptionally luxurious lives, but there is often a poverty of truly fulfilling relationships. They too, are starving and hungry for love. Trust and intimacy. In this, they might lack what they truly desire. No amount of money can buy true love and romantic intimacy.
Cameron Duke the Fourth came alive in contemplating what it would be like to be the wealthiest person in the world. I wondered about the challenges that would come with that. Would he be fulfilled? Would he be happy? Can he be satisfied?
Can he find love?
Rachel is similar to many young women who want to make their way in a world where opportunity to improve their life are becoming less and less every day, with or without a college education. She dreams of becoming a veterinarian but doesn't have the financial means to do so. So, she excels at a seemingly simple type of employment - housekeeping and cleaning.
And a determination to achieve her dreams on her own terms.
At the cross-roads, our trillionaire hero wants nothing more than to be romantically involved and take care of her every need but he is wise in recognizing, she is fiercely independent and needs to achieve her life's goals,on her own terms. Even if it is hundreds of miles up in the sky aboard his new-space station home.
The question is - will she be able to see and accept the chance at love he is hopeful for?
