Our Heroine, Sorcha, is on a journey that takes her across a stormy sea...where she meets our Hero, Caden MacSwein, who is sorely in need of help. He has been blinded by grief over the tragic death of his brother on the battlefield. Caden was simply a mess when Sorcha arrived on the scene. Her firm, but tender care of Caden is simply beautiful...she brings light and laughter to his world. Sorcha begins to feel a strong connection to the residents of the island...a feeling of belonging takes hold, and she finds herself dreading the thought of leaving.
Danger is approaching the remote island...will Caden be able to protect Sorcha from the threat? What a wonderful story this is! Caden and Sorcha
are a fabulous couple - Their growing love for each other is so poignant and moving! Humor also abounds in this book, and I loved that, too!
Usually I write fairly long reviews, but this one had me so spellbound that I can't even think of works to describe it that will do it justice. Just buy the book---and listen to the narration too. Well worth it!
It's great to hear his voice bring life to the pages of such a great story. I knew Sorcha's story would be special, but it exceeded all expectations. If you have followed this series, you can't miss this book...James Gillies...what else it there to say?
There is so much more to this story that I think anyone who reads it will understand that the events that happened were meant to be.

On her travels she meets Alec, captain to the blind Laird Caden Mac Swein, and he offers her passage. When she meets Caden she tries to help him, but he doesn't know if she can, and then Caden finds out she's in danger, can he protect her, after all, he's blind.
Absolutely riveting, from the first page till the last. Tanya Anne Crosby weaves her magic once again.
