The bonus romance, Ghostly Whispers of Love, is a paranormal romance about a widower and the challenges of raising his little girl alone. Roderick Blockstone loved only one woman all his life. The woman he lost while she was giving birth to their baby girl. Ann Blockstone is the spitting image of her mother, but with a wild spirit, the opposite of her mother Jane, who was sweet, docile, lady like. For all his efforts, Roderick can't seem to control his child or teach her how a young lady should behave. Ann never knew her mother, her father for all his love can not understand her. She is only truly happy when playing outside with her best friend Henry Stewart, son of the stableman. When her tutor decides that Henry is a bad influence on Ann, all hell breaks lose and fate repeats itself. Ghostly Whispers is a short story about finding love and peace even when your heart gets broken and lonely in the process. It is about life beyond death and the love that goes on no matter where we are.
This is the story of young, innocent, sheltered Clementine who would do everything for her family and agrees to become a mail order bride in order to be able to help her family financially.
Then there is George. He was raised by his grandfather who’s last wish is to see George married before he dies and has even searched for a mail order bride without asking George first.
This is a very short story with immediate attraction but I didn’t feel it. Probably because it was that short. Everything happened a little bit too fast for me…
Note: on GoodReads and Amazon it says ‘This is a stand alone science fiction romance with an HEA.’ BUT it’s not science fiction!!
