There is nothing to this book at all. There's a 2 page spread for each season (8 pages total). Plus, the wheel that turns the picture does not stick out enough and it is hard to turn the wheel. I don't think my pre-k students could do it. After reading Maisy's Wonderful Weather Book, this one was a HUGE disappointment!!! Not worth the money I paid for it.

I love the artwork and the whole idea of the books but the writing just doesn't flow for me. The only Lucy Cousins book that we love is the Horray for Fish book (the story flows much better and rhymes in a fun way, my daughter loves it). After reading the fish book, we bought three of the Maisy books expecting similar writing. Unfortunately they weren't at all what we expected after reading the fish book. Oh well. They're okay, don't get me wrong, just not what we like.

My son is almost 2 years old, and he loves the weather and Maisy. So, he loves this book. This is a mommy book though, because he can't turn the wheel himself yet. He doesn't mind at all though! Great book.

I bought this as a gift to a 2 yr old, he loved it. Toddlers will love the front cover. The only drawback is that the wheels are too hard to turn, they should have been designed better. This book is only a few pages long but it has a lot going on in those few pages to grab the attention of toddlers. Age recommended is 2-4 yrs. The big size of the book makes it a lap book suitable for toddlers. This book has too many flaps and hidden items for children below 2 yrs and is too short and simple for children above 4 yrs.

Out toddler has enjoyed other Maisy books. The back cover of Maisy's seasons says it is "perfect for toddlers 18 months and up."

Both parents, grandparents, and two adult nannies have found the wheel difficult to turn - impossible for a toddler. When we sit down to read this book, the baby says "turn it!" when we get to the wheel. Because of the way it is constructed she can't turn it, and this results in frustrated screaming and crying.

This otherwise enjoyable book is tainted by the poorly made wheel. We hid the book and do not recommend it for toddlers. Stick with the lift the flap books which curious little fingers can easily move.

My 2-year-old loves opening the flaps to find the surprise pictures underneath. The only thing I would change is I wish the wheels were a little easier to turn. The book is showing wear after only 6 months because she has to work so hard to get a grip on the wheels.

We are HUGE Maisy fans at our house, so getting a new Maisy book is a big deal. It is a very cute book that my 3 1/2 year old daughter loves to read and look at. However, I expected the book to be a little more interactive and detailed since it is listed as a 4-8 year old. Really this book is for younger kids - the pages and flaps are thick and sturdy. Would totally recommend this book for the younger ages, maybe 2-5.

This board book has been my son's favorite since he was 6 months old and he is now 14 months. He loves to open the flaps and turn the wheel and the illustration is sparse so the pages don't overwhelm him. Highly recommend! It's true that the wheel is a little hard to turn from the bottom, but I started to turn it from the top with a slightly damp finger, and my son copied me, so he can turn the wheel just fine now.
