Tracie was such a role model when this album was released. She had talent and mass appeal. I miss that in today's teen market.
She was an award winning songwriter for the hit single "Tender Kisses" which is still impressive for a young black woman. I loved that song when I was getting tenderly kissed in those days. This album is dated for the most part but the nostalgia factor is high enough for a buy and a listen if you are of those who Tracie moved and got moving back in the early 90's

This girl is bad!
I really like the slow songs! The songs that stick out are
"I Have A Song To Sing," "I Like That," and of course "Tender Kisses."
Get it, if you had a good time back then.

This Tracie Spencer Cd brought back so many memories for me. I was a teen when this came out, and I recall enjoying many of these songs back then, especially THIS HOUSE.. TENDER KISSES..& LOVE ME! I will however say that all of the songs on Make The Difference are awesome! I was able to listen to it from start to finish without skipping a single song! There are slow jams and many uptempo songs as well. If you are or ever were a fan of Tracie Spencer, who was a childhood star way back in the day, when her music was played in heavy rotation on the radio stations, then please get this asap! I am very happy with my purchase!

With this being her second release, Tracie has gotten older, therefore, the songs were more in sync with a female her age. The dance tracks were fun, especially with her trying to rap on two of these songs, and the ballads showcase the strength in her voice, especially my favorite, I HAVE A SONG TO SING. AWESOME!!! Her range was tremendous! She had all the ingredients to make a recording that had that bounce, that swag, that mellow, that everything that it took. Tracie was THAT ONE, and she is missed from the R&B plateau.

This is a classic album, especially if you like soul/dance music. Every single song on this album is amazing, although the best song of all was never released as a single and that is the uptempo "Too Much Of Nothing". Most people will remember the album's biggest hit "This House" which goes "This house... is our house... let's give back to the people... it's all in the hands of love". The album also had a major dance music chart hit with "This Time Make It Funky" which on the single was remixed by Shep Pettibone (of Madonna fame). And there were two major Billboard R&B chart hits with the ballads "Tender Kisses" and "Love Me" which both made the Top 5. Another awesome song is "Double O Rhythm" which is a dance song, and another dance track "Sweeter Love". Tracie Spencer has an incredible voice and she should've been more famous given the quality of her music. This album is in my opinion one of the best albums made in the history of music.

Glad to see that a reissue was done here! As big a hit as "Tender Kisses" was, I don't think I EVER hear it on retro airplay. The only current airing it might get is in a rerun episode of Family Matters where Eddie Winslow meets Tracie and they do a duet together. The song and the 1991 video were perfect for her sophomore effort. Too bad it couldn't have crossed over more to the pop realm. Tony Terry and After 7 were able to do it, so........

While Tracie's first album is closer to my heart, I would objectively say that "Tender Kisses" far outweighs a lot of the material on that album. She was one of the last ladies of TRUE soul before the genre started getting overrun with....whatever you want to call it, certainly not soul

With this CD Tracie made her breakthrough in the US too. You can see her development from a rather young teen star to a now more serious young lady and later on souldiva. This album is still a bit pop-ish but shows Tracies great vocal range and contains her most known hits.
