I personally like that this book does not have all the frills of glossy pictures. I am in the camp of: less pictures more recipes, please, and this book delivers! It clocks in at a fat 454 pages of every day edible recipes.
The recipes are delicious and I love her "verdicts".
Right now, I have chicken soup stock going in the crock pot (why didn't I think of that?) so we can all get better from this flu with some chicken soup tomorrow.
12/28/09- it keeps getting better! I just made chocolate mousse using the crock pot! I put the ingredients in, went to the gym, came back, put it into the blender and then poured it into dishes for dinner. It was very yummy while still warm, I'm sure it will only get better as it sets.
It really has made me look at my crock pot in a whole new light. I even asked for a new one for Christmas that has three different sized bowls so I can use the right size for the job.
