My much anticipated wait is finally over. I had this CD on order for over a month. The wait was, as expected, well worth it! If you know Salvador's music, then you should get this ASAP. If you don't know them, you will be amazed. This is my number one favorite group, worship or otherwise. Salvador's music is Christ-centered, Latin-infused and funk-laden, played by extremely talented musicians.

I saw a live concert on JCTV last summer and DVR'd it because it was so wonderful. Jaci Velásquez sang as well and I realized she and Nic Gonzalez (Lead Singer) have been married since 2006, and have two boys. That concert was so worshipful and they played "Make Some Noise," "Deeper in Love" and others. Jaci sang "Diamond" and "On My Knees, " and others from her successful solo career.

This CD is exactly what Salvador is; all about Christ. Their cover of Steve Winwood's "Higher Love" is very well done and my personal favorite (currently) is "Tirate." Salvador is going on tour beginning in April and will be in AZ, The UK and then TN. I am so excited for them to return to Austin for a gig. I cannot wait!

I encourage anyone to get this CD, they have 7 albums now and a greatest hits as well, which is how my wife introduced me to them. Again, this is a very unique sound in music performed flawlessly by professionals in music who put Christ first.

You will not regret this purchase.
Peace,

**Update**
After listening to this wonderfully worshipful cd time and again, I am more please than when I first received it. Much like all Salvador cd's, they get better with age. Each song stands alone as a testimony to the evidence of Christ. The rhythms truly inspire.

***Final update - This album is so wonderful.

Prime Cuts: Not Alone, Deeper Love, God of Forever

Salvador is a breath of fresh air. There is such a waff of rock and alternative-rock acts in today's Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) that it is titillating towards a saturation point where it is now difficult to tell one artist apart from another. Salvador, a seven-piece band that hails from Austin Texas, has never been just another CCM clone. Mixing their roots in Latin funk with their brand of CCM, they have created a hybrid that has worked well in making them a hit-band in the genre as well as in the Spanish Christian music market. Ever since their self-titled debut disc, they have garnered for themselves radio favorites such as "Lord I Come before You," "Can't Keep It In,""Heaven," "Crucified," "Cry Holy" and "Breathing Life." And as an affirmation of their esteemed status within the Spanish Christian music arena they were awarded "Best Spanish Album of the Year" at the 2004 Dove Awards for "Con Poder." However, over the years, in an effort to accommodate changing trends, Salvador has stylistically evolved to embrace elements of heavy rock, hip hop and jam band rhythms into their music. As a result they have lost themselves in the jumble of the musical mess. Four years of hiatus since their last album "Aware," they are finally back. Refreshed and energised, Salvador has decided to return back to the dance that first brought them to the ball. On "Make Some Noise" they have decided to make a laser straight line back to their debut record where funk and good old fashion rock take the front seat again.

There is a sepia tone nostalgic patina glazed over the entire record.

We love Nic Gonzales' heart for the Lord! He has such a sweet spirit that mesmerizes an audience. And then with his fun-yet-soothing voice, fine guitar playing, and super-hot band (they know how to put it out), you can't help but wanna dance all the time! Enough of the music is in Spanish (I only speak English), but so what, I know their heart's right--the words have to be good--and the sound is awesome. It's has that Mexican-band sound to it with the horns and such, yet they twist it up here and there. The horns are amazing, as is the rest of the sound, bass included. Oh, and the drums! WOW! These guys are a class act. As for this specific album, you need to give it a fair listen-to. Like any good artist, if they are really good, then their albums are going to be different, and may require a re-listen more than once to get accustomed to the new work. I'm glad we put in the effort. This is now one of my most favorite albums by Salvador. Not crazy about EVERY song, but just about every one is top-dollar. I've already bought it as a gift for a relative! If I lose this one, I'm buying another!

Finally they have added their signature horn licks back. The horns are what set Salvador apart from other contemporary Christian groups. I also highly recommend their very first CD entitled "Salvador" while it is still available.

As usual this album wasn't a let down. I really enjoy their style of music. The Spanish song "este corito" reminds me of songs we used to sing in church when I was little.
