In two of her books, MF series, I was curious as I normally don’t check out this genre. She wowed me with her character development and the barriers of stereotypes that ‘steamy, hot romance’ novels carry.
For the very mature pairs of eyes, ‘Make You Mine,’ teeters on the edge of pure just in for the passion to obsession. And that edge is one which kept me as a reader flipping through the pages.
Imagine wanting something, or someone, but there were too many barrier between you and that person … barriers that could create a disturbance or two in your journey in life. Would you take the risk? Just for the opportunity of a taste or would you make a plan, and figure out how to burst through them?
That is what happens here in ‘Make You Mine.’ He is battling his wills and temptation, but at the same time, he is thinking, why not?
Wallace plays on the natural curiosity and passion that every female has with her creative expressions. She hooks us in pretty quick with the blurb – “I’ve been a bad boy,” and keeps us glued in to the story in a big way.
Talk about fantasy meets reality meets why can’t I find a man who adores me and obsesses over me that much?
And if you look past the physicalness, you will see that Wallace, with her wisdom as a wife and mother and woman, sneaks in a few very applicable relationship life lessons. Yes, she did.
I said this in my previous reviews of her books. But I see it. .
I see her going beyond the adult steamy romance novels and maybe penning some screenplays. Can’t wait to read the next one!
