Until attending Denise George's Boot Camp for Christian Writers and reading this book, I would never have considered self publishing. I just completed my first novel, and this book has given me an entirely new approach to consider before I move forward. It explains how much self publishing has changed and how many options are available for FREE! It's no longer just for the writer who can't seem to get published. It's an option to be considered even if agents are lining up with offers. I would recommend this book to any writer before they sign with a traditional publisher.

Until taking this course and reading the book offered by Denise, I had no clue there was such a difference in self publishing versus Traditional publishing. This class/book helped me to see and weigh the difference in order to make a wise choice. Starting out money is a big factor along with maintaining control of the project (e.g. design, book size, colors, type style, etc.) and I discovered that more often then not the traditional publishers want to control and change at will. Unless God opens the doors to go in another direction, I'm leaning toward the self publishing process recommended by Denise. Thank you Denise and team for your time, effort and acquiring the information to help us make wise decisions -- not to mention your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ! You have been and will continue to be a great help, encouragement to us!!

I am about to self-publish Christian books for the first time, and this book plus Ellen Maze's "You Can Self-Publish" are all the arsenal I need to get started. I highly recommend for Christian writers.

The advantages/disadvantages of traditional vs self-publication are made quite clear. A great overview of Amazon's Createspace is also included along with other sources of information.
