Nolan is Thad's best friend and 3 years older that Corrine but he has been in love with Corrine since he was 17 years old. He lives across the street for Corrine and spends a lot of time with Tommy.
When Corrine complains about Tommy's behavior, Nolan tells her that she needs to spend more time with Tommy. She thinks that Nolan is calling her a bad mom.
On Mother's, Tommy has an accident and falls into a sink hole. As Nolan tries to save him, Corrine realizes that she loves Nolan and she doesn't won't to lose either one of them. After Tommy is rescued, Nolan tell Corrine that he loves her, but will wait until she is ready to have a relation. Corrine decides that she is ready now. She did not won't to waste another day.
This story was so relatable .
In this book we get to know Corraine and Tommy more. We met them in previous books because she is Thad's sister and helped fight when Linda and Ian were attacked. You do not have to read the other books to enjoy this one but i will say that from experience, you will like this one so much more if you have read the other books too. Nolan is the neighbor across the street who was Thad's best friend growing up. But he has always had a thing for Corraine if you know what I mean. So in this one we get to see her finally realizing it. .... with lots of help. It is so fun to watch it happen. Just have to get thru her jumping to conclusions first. Great book with so many touching and down to earth truths in it.
Nolan brings out the best in her and ultimately helps her better relate to her son and his antics. I loved Nolan from the beginning of the book and the way that he saved the day at the end made me appreciate the town's hunky firefighter even more.
This was a sweet friends to lovers story and another great addition to the Celebration Series. I can't wait to see what Stacy Eaton has in store for us in the next book!
(Celebration Series Book 6)
By Stacy Eaton
Corrine Wagner works full time, is finishing up her classes for her nursing degree and raising an almost 6 year old son; and dating in whatever spare time she has.
Nolan Tigues lives across the street from Corrine and has known her since they were young kids.
Everyone knows that Nolan has cared about Corrine as more than just a friend for years, except Corrine.
When Nolan teaches Tommy how to make and use a slingshot, things between Nolan and Corrine heat up...in the wrong way.
Corrine is stretched thin and dealing with Tommy's antics and Nolan's and others "advice" is causing her to almost reach her breaking point...and to
reinforce what she has kept hidden from everyone else: that she is a bad mother.
Things go hot and cold for the two of them with continual misunderstandings and hot-headed reactions.
But little by little things ease up for Corrine and she is contemplating bringing Nolan into her life, until tragedy hits her closest to her heart...will it bring Corrine and Nolan closer together or will it be the final piece that keeps them apart?
Another fun novella in the Celebration series. You will fall in love with Tommy, want to get a mediator for Corrine and Nolan until they are on the same page, and enjoy every minute with the rest of the people in Celebration Township...and might still be wondering what Casey's answer is to Thad's question when all is said and done.
