Except she hasn't sought out any other male companionship. Knox has been the only one to occupy her thoughts.
And Knox considers them a couple, Aubrey just needs to decide she agrees with him on that.
We open on the morning after one of these chance encounters. Knox manages to get more and more commitment from Aubrey that day and over the coming days and weeks but at her speed.
She just has to realize he doesn't want to keep her barefoot and pregnant. He loves her business side as much as he does her passionate one.
Fun, family, passion, friends, all the elements that make me love Melissa's stories. We get to see the couples we've already seen reach their HEA, plus get to know the future stars in this bookiverse.
I feel all warm and happy after finishing this one. Knox is one fantastic book boyfriend. Sexy, confident, a touch cocky, loving, single minded, but not domineering. He knows what he wants but he doesn't need to crush Aubrey. Instead he lets her decide where they're headed on their HEA journey.
I Floved it!

The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls series. I’ll admit, I’ve read a lot of Melissa’s Foster’s books but haven’t started this series yet so I was kind of thrust in to Knox and Aubrey’s already established “friends with benefits” relationship. However, it didn’t really detract from the book. It was actually sort of refreshing to read a book with characters who already know one another so intimately.
Knox and Aubrey have been together for two years and Knox is determined to get her to see that they can take their relationship to the next level. Aubrey is an independent business woman and doesn’t want all the drama having a relationship will bring into her life. She’s happy with their no strings attached agreement. She can’t deny that Knox is very tempting and he can be very persuasive.
Knox is swoon worthy as he tries to convince her what they can have together. Stranded at an Inn, things get hot as Knox uses all his charm to convince her that dating and being a couple won’t add drama, just make what they have better. Seriously, I can’t emphasize how super swoony Knox is. The entire book is a joy to read. A perfect blend of hot and sweet, as the two learn more about each other outside the bedroom. There is a huge cast of characters from previous books and series and I love seeing relationships grow and the potential for other’s in the future. I already pre-ordered Carly and Zee’s book just from the brief interaction in this book and I’m excited to read. 4.5 swoony stars.

This story is about Knox and Aubrey, both successful business owners with busy lives. They've been sleeping together on a casual basis for two years, but Knox has decided that he wants Aubrey in his life on a permanent basis.
This is a sweet romance with Knox providing lots of lovely boyfriend gestures which break down Aubrey's walls. The pair have to navigate from family drama but it doesn't stand in their way for long.
I think this is a pleasant addition to the series and I understand that making every book full of high drama would be unrealistic, so I'm okay with how this book turned out.
I loved Aubrey and Knox story. Aubry is a strong, modern woman, who thinks a relationship will bring unwanted drama in to her life, and Knox wants in. Knox and Aubrey connect on every level, but she believes that a relationship will comprise her business and her ideas, so It's up to Knox to try and convince her otherwise.
This series is one of my favourites. The closeness of the friends is beautifully written and it's great how you can check in with them, with each release.
