I like how this fan is narrow and easy to stow under my backseat of my truck. It has a decent high setting for about 8-10’ away. The low setting is quite, but only good for say 3-4’ away. Like on a table or work bench. Overall I’m satisfied with it, just wish batteries lasted longer. Maybe there needs to be a brushless option to help with this.
I have used this while working on my truck in the driveway, the back deck, my kids soccer games, and even at work when the AC broke. There are probably better fans that are more compact but I have quite a few Makita batteries so this was the best choice for me. I don't regret this purchase and I'm even thinking about getting their larger one that oscillates.
This runs 4 hours on low, 2 on high on one battery. Summer has frequently been over 100F and I don't think I would have been able to keep working without it. Not too loud, either. Also great for camping!
Used primarily for work to stay cool in the warmer months. Quiet, powerful breeze on high setting and it folds down to be fairly compact. I'd give it a solid 5 stars if I hadn't had to see it against the competition. Other brands have exceeded expectations with models that attach to aerial lift rails, charge phones, offer a greater variety of position. I'm a Makita guy, I love my Makita power tools, including this fan, but if you're only looking for a battery powered fan for work environments I'd investigate all options. For camping, picnics, hot nights at the drive in this one can't be beat
This is the second fan we bought like this because the first was so great!! It lasted years with almost everyday use!! Folds up flat for easy storage and taking to job sites! Comes with cord so you don’t always have to use battery.
My co-workers have equivalent DeWalt and Milwaukee fans. Both of them are using 5AH batteries and last about an hour longer than my fan. That being said, it seems to blow just as hard as the others and works fine. It goes through two 5ah batteries if you turn it on the high setting at lunch and leave around 6pm. On really hot days I go through three batteries. The low setting isn't useful unless you plan on sitting at a desk and need a slight breeze.
The only shortcoming of the design is that if you tilt it back too far it will fall over. However, I prefer the toughness and simplicity of this design to the other fans, so you have to decide what's more important to you. There are tradeoffs in any design.
A little expensive, but for its compactness and fan diameter size, it’s almost perfect. The only thing that could make this better if it has a misting pump.
So many uses for this thing. Portable and mobile so you can take anywhere. I recommend the larger lithium batteries. Long life, nice power, and a must have in Florida.
I bought this specifically for camping. Figured it would be a lot better then the tiny tent fans. It’s a little loud on full but works well and isn’t crazy loud on medium. So glad I got this, helped a lot on those muggy nights.
Il est plus petit que j'imaginais mais ça fait mon affaire car je vais m'en servir à la maison. Le seul bémol est qu'il faut acheter un chargeur et des batteries en surplus. Ca revient cher à la fin.
