This tool works very well for locking vinyl siding into vinyl edging when the top edge of the vinyl has to be cut off, cutting off the nailing holes. The tool makes little tabs along the length of the siding that lock into the trim pieces, holding the siding in place.

This is almost a "got to have" tool for your vinyl siding job. It forms locking tabs on partial pieces of siding that have to be modified to fit areas on the house where a full piece is just too wide. Used with utility trim it forms a good positive lock.

THe Malco punch performs well. It has a nice grip to it and a sturdy feel in your hand. It was at a price well below the big box home improveent stores.

Simple tool that worked as it should. I used this when replacing siding that had blown off in a storm, probably because the pro installer never put locking tabs in when the siding was originally installed. One hint for users; if the temperature is low (near freezing) the siding will be brittle and you'll end up with the tabs snapping off leaving an oblong hole. Warm up the vinyl a bit and the tool works fine.

Not shape will crack siding. I have used other ones that work really nice but this one junk, cost me 4 pc of siding to do what i only needed on pc. for, NOT HAPPY at $10 a pc it comes out to $40.00 and time you cant get back. I really dont know if I just got a bad one but you dont really have time to reorder while doing a job.

This tool works as well as any other snap lock punch that I have used. It's a fairly simple tool so there is no point in spending a lot money on one. Just as with any snap lock punch pliers, it helps if the siding is warm or has been in the sun. This cuts down on the amount of times that the '"flap" breaks off rather than just bending outward because the material is less brittle.

I had siding put up on my home. The installers did a "fair" job of installation generally, but some of the top pieces of siding slipped down. I did some research and found out about this tool and what it does. I should not have to, but I have had to repair pieces with this tool to make them stay up. It did what it (and my installers) were suppose to do.

This tool worked well in punching slots into some vinyl skirting. It wasn't hard to use and didn't require too much effort to punch the slots. The skirting panels stayed in place once I had the slots punched.

I would recommend using this tool for vinyl skirting installation.
