CONTRO: prezzo da compro oro.
Finalmente arrivato il sale giusto per le mie bistecche alla brace! Già dal pacchetto si respira aria di mare british, arriva ben imballato, e aperto il pacchetto fa molto piacere vedere che il sale è sigillato dentro un sacchetto in plastica. Ottimo, cosi a prescindere dalle condizioni di spedizione il sale non si inumidisce risultando scadente. I cristalli sono di buona qualità, sono a scaglie piccolissime, molto fini e delicate, di granulometria mista. Il sapore è ovviamente uguale al nostro sale, il sale di maldon non possiede caratteristiche particolari, ma la particolare forma permette di non sciogliersi completamente sul cibo come il sale fino, o di risultare troppo aggressivo come il sale grosso. La scaglia si fonde parzialmente sul cibo risultando ancora fragrante, insaporendo in modo molto delicato il cibo. Superlativo su carni, ma anche per focacce. Interessante anche per creare contrasto su cibi morbidi e vellutati.
Il costo è l'aspetto negativo, pur essendo il prezzo amazon più basso rispetto alla media, si tratta di sale! Costa pur sempre 25 euro al kg..... E se leggete il processo di produzione, non giustifica questo costo esagerato. Ma così va il mondo.... Bravi a maldon che riescono a tutelare questo semplice ma interessante prodotto.

UPDATE: Supplier responded that they can’t help me with this order because it was fulfilled in February. No acknowledgment of any issue with the product or suggestions. I understand they didn’t package it, but feels like very poor customer service. Looks like I will have to reach out to the manufacturer if I want to pursue anything.
