I just called the Malouf company, and the rep said that neither the pillow nor the pillowcase have been treated with flame retardant. She said it wasn't required by law for pillows, and the company feels it would detract from the pillow's marketability (which I agree with!). She said the smell is the natural latex smell, and should go away within a few days. We'll see about that last part...
this brand has no "numbers".
only words such as "queen" "high loft" or "firm".
we bought two and so they match.
that is what we did and were pleased with the results.
our son took one and loves it.
thats what is great about Amazon.
we can reorder the exact same thing to match. free return and no tax.
I am not familiar with that product, but some people, including myself, have respiratory issues with memory foam. The 100% latex pillow is hypo-allergenic and dust mite resistant. I am breathing much better now. No more waking up in the morning with a stuffy nose. Hope this info. is helpful.
