Jordan Roberts has always wanted to open a brewery. He loves everything there is about beer. So he is
Mackenzie Merlot is so excited to start the next chapter in her life-college. She was accepted into the School of Business Management. She is finally living on her own & is going to live life to the fullest.
Nothing like falling flat on my ass when I run into the hottest guy I have ever seen-Jordan.
Mac soon meets another guy- Clint MacNicholson. Shortly after they start seeing each other. Jordan and Mac has also become friends and Jordan just gets a bad vibe from Clint. It doesn't help he wants Mac too.
Is Jordan just jealous and wants Clint out of the picture or does Clint show his true colors to Mac?
Better yet, does the brewery get off the ground.
This was a nice first book for this new author and I look forward to the next book.
I really enjoyed Kenzie. Her character was nothing if not resilient. She battled her way back from pain and trauma more than anyone her age should've had to. And to help her along the way was the sweet and charismatic Jordan. I really liked how much they just "got" each other. From their drink choices to life goals these two were on the same page all the way through their story.
I will say that I did find some of the dialogue a bit repetitive and some things were predictable. However, it all served its purpose and created a well rounded book. I can't leave out Jordan's best mate, Mike. This guy brought a much needed lighter side to the darker material of Malt Me. I am looking forward to his story in the near future.
There were so many twists and turns that I wad constantly surprised. Without giving away any spoilers: Kenzie was just a girl going to school to get her degree but she endured so much during that time. Jordan was the only kind of hope and support for her. There were tears, laughs, and hopeful scenes. I really enjoyed reading Kenzie's journey, some people endure so much and are still able to overcome and make their dreams come true!
