I tried these pads and there are definite pros and only 2 cons that I can determine.
Pros:
-I have yet to leak through a set, even on my worst of days.
-They wash nicely and are have not deteriorated in quality or softness even after multiple times in the laundry. I use a linen bag with them and I DO machine dry them! (The set comes with a bag for the wash but I have purchased 2 sets and combine them with baby socks in a large laundry bag.
-They double as a napkin to swipe my baby's face when he's done eating, before I re-set them in my nursing bra. ;)
-I've tried disposable pads as well as these. These are softer, more comfortable, and absorb well.
Cons:
-The circular shape creates bulges in the pads unless they are perfectly placed in my bra. Even then, they scoot around a bit as I move and I end up with lumps that would definitely be seen with a plan t-shirt. I've adapted and now wear flowing tops but it would be nice if they were a bit more...cone like? That said, I'm not sure how you would shape these to please and fit every woman's breasts.
-The pads absorb well but can get damp throughout the day. Disposable pads kept my chest dryer but I hate the waste and found them overall less comfortable than these. I purchased a 2nd set of the Mamu pads and simply change them once a day if needed. A second set is still leaps and bounds less expensive than disposables are and I personally hate the waste of the disposables.
