We have already seen the results of his investments and how it has hurt this country and the world. He preys on those who need money and are willing to do his dirty work. It's easy for someone to think of themselves as a wise and important person to the world when they have all the money they'll ever need. This guy is no fool. The author does a good job on investigating Soros and all his connections and antics he has done over the past 40 years and how he's used them. He's in his 90's but that doesn't matter. He has a son who will carry on and also those many orgnizations he has created throughout the world. Good book!

This book was a thorough current presentation of the philosophy and political activities of George Soros, including some significant vignettes from his childhood. It discusses the development of his primary political action committee and the many spin-off committees that are active both in the US and abroad, their focus and function. The opinions are those of the author, but the book is extensively foot-noted. Although there is mention of the role of his children on the boards of some of the organizations he supports, there is no information or discussion of his personal life. Therefore this is not a biography of Soros. If you have wondered about the nature and scope of influence of George Soros on culture and politics here and abroad, I highly recommend this book.

This book gives the background story on Soros. First off, he made his fortune basically as a highly skilled money changer. Unlike, say, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, or other billionaire entrepreneurs, he never actually produced anything of value. Much of his billions were made by nothing more than shorting a particular currency.

Then he used that money to destabilize Western Democracies, always couching his subversion in fanciful language about rights, freedoms, equity, etc. For America, his most vile effort has to be how he gets far left, anti-police, and pro-criminal activists in as DA's in major cities. Providing them exorbitant funding for such a position that far outweighs the opponents.

What makes a person do this? I have to believe David Cole's theory that it is nothing more than hatred toward Christianity and Western Culture. In his twilight years he is going to use his ill gotten gains to destroy it.

His connections with left leaning politicians and the way he keeps them in power. Yet he is hailed as a hero.

To say this book was one sided would be a vast understatement. I actually didn't even bother finishing the last chapter. His biopic is so agenda driven/skewed it's not worth reading.

While there is some basis in fact to Soros' political support, it is no different to what Murdoch and the Koch brothers do on a daily basis - and Soros' activities at least have some altruism to them. I love to hear the author's take on their activities.

I also find amusing, anyone whose political views skew even slightly left of libertarianism seems to be painted as some dangerous socialist.

Overlooked due to the agenda, Palumbo's writing is very amatuerist at best
