2014 Review: I was going through my reviews and decided this needed a bit more attention. It has been years since I read My Man Michael and to this day if I had to pick one book out of 15+ years of romance reading where I truly felt purposely cheated THIS would be the book I would pick. It's not that the book was good or bad, it was that Lori Foster PURPOSELY cheated her readers. Perhaps she did this in order to gain attention. I have to admit I am curious as to what her sales looked like after pulling this on her loyal readers in the middle of a series. Since My Man Michael I have avoided all titles by Ms. Foster. I feel even if I COULD trust her again she doesn't deserve my very limited funds, nor my time.
I'm open to sci-fi books, but I expect to be informed thats what I'll be reading so I dont feel tricked later on.
Still in shock. I'll be tossing this book in the garbage. Please dont waste your time or money!!!
Don't get me wrong, I love sci-fi, I love paranormal, I love the unexplained and the unexpected, but when you start reading a series about fighters and their women only have the whole thing be turned upside down on you it is bitterly disappointing.
I can't even bring myself to finish the book. I don't like the way she has written the character of Mallet and I hate the mother character and even how she describes her vision of the future.
If you really want a good read, please don't buy this book.
