The author has missed one of the main reasons that men are in headlong retreat: forty years of man-hating feminism that have made men irrelevant in the culture and to feminist-indoctrinated women. Many men refuse to make the proverbial commitment, because to marry is to risk the hazards of divorce courts, in which men are routinely trashed. Is it any surprise that men choose to opt out of the system, to go their own way? It's too bad that these thoughts have completely eluded the author.

The other thing about the "man up" command is that is women telling men to be of more use to them...do more stuff for them, make a bigger paycheck for them, spend more money on them, etc. Men aren't putting up with that crap any more....which has women ticked off.

Instead of this author making a buck off the bash-men movement, it would be better if he applied his skills towards something productive....such as helping address the issue of male suicide so that it is no longer 4 times greater than the female suicide rate. But I guess that would be too much to ask of him.

I was not impressed with it. It seemed like old news just taken from this report or that book, not saying it was it just seemed very familiar.
