This book is a nice change from the bodice-rippers that are so prevalent on Amazon, focusing instead on the relationships and self discovery. A very pleasant read. Keep them coming!
So glad I did.
What I liked:
While romance is a key element in the story, it feels like it takes a back burner to Erin's personal development, and because of the type of character Erin is that totally makes sense. We get to watch her in this pseudo love triangle figuring out what she wants out of life all while not tormenting two male heroes overly much.
It was refreshing.
As was having a male lead that didn't know the right things to say all the time. Or even talk all that often.
What I didn't like:
Less what I didn't like, and more "what I wish there was more of," I wish we had more time with Clint. Not that there was a lack of Clint, it's just that the tension between him and Erin was so deliciously awkward at times that I wanted just a little more. Like, one super awkward dinner date or something.
Who I'd recommend it to:
Fans of romance and/or chick lit. Especially ones who enjoy modern day cowboys and/or the strong silent type.
about this book? this is just what i was looking for! a love story of its own kind. for a change i loved the writing style of the author too. when most of the times while reading a love story we forget about writing style this book definitely stands out. i also loved the way story flows. characters also are built very strong. you will be forced to make your own world of imagination when you read this one. and i insist that you do!! it took me just one working day to finish the book! would love to read more from the author.
