About the Author
A lot of my own experiences have gone into my fictional works, especially my first book The Man of My Dreams. I created a vigilante vampire that rescues women and children from rapists and child molesters...
I've loved Vampires and the paranormal ever since I can remember and always envisaged myself writing a book or two on the subject! The characters I've created are very close to my heart and I hope you will come to love them as much as I have.

I realize that the author contemplated a sequel (thus, the cliffhanger) but still, the end scene seemed rushed, poorly thought out, and defied the normal suspension of disbelief for fiction. Likeable enough as a free read but given the plethora of vampire fiction, not enough to pay to see if this particular author's writing/story gets any better.
ADDED 09-09-2012: To clarify, I don't generally mind a cliffhanger in preparation of the next book (setting the stage, if you will), but it bothers me as a reader when not properly done and/or it adversely affects the current book. Yes, books in a series are generally linked together in some way or have a common arc, but the discrete plot/arc of each book usually should be resolved by the end (sort of like finishing the framework of a house before moving on to the sheetrock, plumbing, etc).
The way this book ended, the "cliffhanger" was for this story (which I took as how/why Cassie and and her dream man get together), not for the next (which, based on the blurb, appears to be how their relationship develops within an expanded storyline).Read more ›
Cassie was able to continue on with her life never remembering the horror she experienced, and had both her parents love and support every single day. Until that fateful day when she was seventeen and a drunk driver ran into there car head on, killing her mother and father, leaving her an orphan. She grew from this knowing she wanted to help others so she became a nurse at the very hospital she was taken to. She greatly enjoyed her job, even though the trusts her parents left her meant she didn't need to work a day if she didn't want to. Being happy and wealthy the only other thing she truly wanted was a family of her own.
Cassie thought she had found the perfect man that she would spend the rest of her life with, but suddenly after over six years together he up and left. She was so distraught until He showed up, the mystery man that had saved her after the accident. He has appeared to her before when she was sleeping and it she'd that he still was. He appeared to have a deep love for her and she felt the same about him. One night they shared a very passionate very intimate event that left her with his seed.Read more ›
Interesting story with a bit of a different twist on vampires.
This book did touch on some darker more taboo subject matter but I feel like it did so in a way that left me with no trouble reading it. In fact I had a hard time putting the book down!
The author gave just enough information to reel me in but there is still so much more I want to know. And with that doozy of a cliffhanger for an ending I would absolutely love to read the next book in the series because it has definitely peaked my curiosity.
Because of it's darker nature I can say this book won't be for everybody but in my opinion The Man of my Dreams is recommended.
