About Mandie Brice
Mandie Brice is passionate about the concept that if you look and feel better, you'll do everything else better... Which is why you'll see content from her (in the form of books, blogs, and social media posts) centered around personal development, beauty, and general health (primarily fitness and nutrition) because they are all joined together by that central premise!
Her first book (Best Face Forward) is an adaptation of an e-course she made that teaches beginners simple and practical makeup skills and looks.
Her second one (2020 Vision) is the framework she has been using for years, and the culmination of all of the personal development books, courses, podcast episodes, conferences, etc. she's taken, plus what she's gleaned in her over 150 interviews on her own podcast, which is called Bold Moves.
On her podcast, she interviews a wide variety of people who've taken big risks to go after their dreams and have survived and thrived to tell the tale, in hopes that others will hear bits of themselves in the guests, and feel encouraged to go after their own dreams, using tips and advice from the guests to move them forward.

Blog postIf your New Year’s Resolutions or goals/intentions for 2021 are to save more money, I have a great suggestion for you that is how to save more money in 2021! Last week, one of my past podcast guests posted this graphic to her instagram story:
I had seen it before and enjoyed the idea, but for some reason, I had always found it in the middle of the year, and for whatever reason decided that I didn’t want to start something like that mid-year!

Blog postAs you can see, I am getting back into the rhythm of blogging more frequently, which is a great thing for sure! A while back, I started leading my personal development book club through The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron*. Unfortunately, I got off track and we never finished it! Lately, I have been experiencing more of a call to be creative (think partially because I haven’t gotten to do much makeup since the pandemic, and partially because I actually have space now for creative projects2 months ago Read more

Blog postAhh, Mother. No, not my mom, Pat McGrath! Pat McGrath has been an inspiration to me for a long time, so when she launched her makeup line a few years ago, I was head over heels… But also living in LA and not making tons of money at the time, so I told myself “Mandie, you have to wait!” The waiting is over, and fortunately, (thanks to Influenster), I didn’t have to shell out any of my own hard-earned dough (which is excellent news during a pandemic)! I’d tried her mascara before (and it was ju2 months ago Read more

Blog postHello there! For my American friends, last week was a holiday – Thanksgiving. While it was likely celebrated very differently amidst this pandemic, and its origins are depressing when you know the truth, I feel the same way about Thanksgiving that most people feel about Valentine’s Day; that it is a commercialized holiday celebrating something we should acknowledge every day. Gratitude is a definite biggie for me, and I hate that this holiday especially has turned into the commencement of a h2 months ago Read more

Blog postIf you know me or have been following my blog for a while, you know that sustainability and the environment are big passions of mine. Check out these previous posts where I share some of my favorite tips! While we won’t be likely to be showing whole outfits to anyone outside of our COVID bubbles for a while, going with my “Look Better, Feel Better, Be Better” mantra means it’s important to still look our best (at least from time to time) for the sake of our mental health! Blog postLook, Ma, I’m on TV! (Again)! I am not sure what the origin of that phrase is, but here we are! I am excited to add to my “TV & Podcast Appearances” page… And want to share another “full circle” type moment from a past TV (ish) experience!
First things first, my most-recent TV “appearance.” The Cliff’s Notes Version of the story is that I modeled for a luxury start up brand back when we were living in LA, and that brand got picked up as one of Good Morning America’s Deals of t3 months ago Read more -
Blog postThis blog is a bit overdue, but better late than never, right? I spoke about this in a recent podcast interview, and wanted to share a bit more on the blog. So, if you’ve ever wondered “Is life balance truly possible,” read on for my opinion and what I hope to be some comforting words!
I believe very strongly in seasons.
Not just “Yay, it’s Fall, let’s go get a PSL” (I’ve never had one of those, so since I don’t like pumpkin flavor, and don’t like coffee, I don’t thi3 months ago Read more -
Blog postHello! I am so behind on blogging, and I thank you for your patience with me! I owe the lovelies on my email list (wanna join it?) an article about the myth of balance, but since today and tomorrow are Amazon Prime Days, this is a bit time-sensitive, so I am bumping it up! Read on to learn my solution to how to stop your Amazon packages from getting stolen!
As I announced on instagram a while ago, we bought a house!

Blog postThe Friday before last (September 4th), I turned 39. As I approach the milestone of 40 next year, I’m going through a lot of changes in life (in 2020, who isn’t, really?), and want to make this last year in my thirties a fabulous one. Upon some reflection, I have decided that this year, I want to focus on my creativity and boldness, so I’ve decided it’s going to be my Yolo Year of Renaissance. Care to join me?
So first… the boldness. Why YOLO?

This is a collection of makeup skills and practical looks (from a 5-minute look, to a daytime look, to an evening/date night look or makeup for photography) as taught by a professional makeup artist with celebrity experience and a teaching degree.
It is based upon a digital makeup course that shows self-application as well as on a variety of models with different ages, skin tones, and eye shapes, and the book uses the same inclusive approach.
There's also an extensive glossary of terms, product recommendations, and other resources, including how to select complexion makeup/foundation, different brushes and their uses, brush care, and your makeup shopping list.
Additionally, purchasing the book or course gives you access to a private facebook group where you can get tips and feedback if you post your practice looks.
