Traveling around Florida in his motorhome with Mango Bob, his cat, Bill has found plenty of crazy people and fun places to write about.

His adventures have taken him as far south as Key West, and north to the Treasure Coast where he searched for lost gold from the 1715 Spanish Fleet. On the west coast, he's camped with the Manatees and spent days in and around Florida's Forgotten Coast and onto Pensacola and Panama City.

His Mango Bob novels are filled with wacky characters he's met on the road, and you get a peek into what it's like living and traveling in a motorhome in Florida. In the Mango Bob series, you get to ride along and meet the crazy people while he tries to dig himself out of the trouble he encounters.

Bill currently lives on Venice Island, Florida where he keeps his motorhome ready for his next adventure.

Yet another fun road trip.

I find myself reading one Mango adventure after another. I like them. They are all pretty much the same. Walker, the hero, allows himself to be guided by a friendly woman friend to take his motor home somewhere for some purpose that helps an attractive woman about his own age. Here he takes an attractive animal doctor (introduced in "Mango Glades") to Key West to help the doctor's sister out of a jam.
This is pretty much how the stories go. Walker helps a nice lady out of a jam of some degree of complexity and danger. You would think that, in this case with three women, he would be able to find a girl to spend time with. Nope. He has three chances here but still gets put into the friend zone. He likes girls well enough but can't seem to muster the energy to pursue one actively enough to bind one to him.
He has a cat-like mine, a big orange tom, and I like his cat interactions as well as his well-meaning take on the world.
This series might not be great literature but the stories are fun to read. I have already downloaded the next adventure.

I enjoyed this book in the series just as much as the others, in some ways, I liked it more, like when Walker gives voice to Bob by having conversations with him and explaining Bob's reactions. I also love the information that I get about Florida. I like to look up the restaurants and streets online just to put an image to the descriptions.
One thing I didn't care for is that every woman Walker meets seem to take advantage of his kind nature and seem to be a bit bossy. I find myself getting irritated with him for not standing up for himself! I love him though, he is who I strive to be... Living in an RV in Florida, finding adventure and making friends. I'd like a bit of his luck when it comes to money... Haha!
Another cute Mango Bob story. I hope Bob found more lizards btw.

Another road trip! This time Dr. Joy asks him to go to Key West to help her sister with a problem. Sarah runs a food trailer and is known as Wiener Girl. (I am sure you can guess what her food truck sells!) Buck goes along to visit a fried in Key West as well. While they are down there, Walker catches a hacker, returns a lost dog, converts a criminal and gets involved in a FBI sting. All in a couple days work for Walker!
Such a fun series with so many unusual occurrences that you can never predict what will happen. I love the descriptions and attention to authentic details along the way. It reminds me of what Florida used to be like! Fun story and I am anxious to find out what will happen next!!

THis is the fourth book of the series I have read. While I like the story line, the main character Walker is a wimp. The guy waits on his lazy cat and is trampled on by every woman he meets. In the first book we are told that his wife dumped him. Before long we know why, the guy has no back bone. Every woman he meets, takes advantage of him while telling him not to expect any romance in return. Walker, dump the cat and the women. Find yourself a nice lady who appreciates you and grow up! Muurph!

I like this series. A great book for readers who like non- violent stories with believable characters and easy reads. There is always a little mystery and action. I am reading it to my husband who likes the idea of a man and his cat traveling around Florida and other parts of the American southeast. One warning: if you read one you might as well down load as many as you can. When one ends you' all want the next one at hand. Happy reading and thank you Bill Meyers!

I loved, loved, love this book. Any story with a cat is for me. This was my (free) introduction to the Mango series and I will be back for more, even if I have to pay for it! The cat bits were oh so true; I have a couple of intuitive "smarties." Kat will be in her element throughout her life; there are many men who prefer bitches. And Lori is right up there. Walker needs to meet up with a nice woman who would love not only him, but RV-ing too. (Can't forget Bob, but I imagine he would make life miserable for a non-cat person.)

I read several reviews that mentioned poor editing. I must add my name to the list. Mr. Myers, I will do it for free, and the book will be perfect. The one mistake that really grabbed me was when Walker's Caller ID said "Joy," when it was Lori Joy calling.

Mr. Myers, I am now a fan and look forward to more travels with Walker and Bob. Keep writing!

Personally, I love this series by Bill Myers. I've read all of his books to date, and find them light hearted, entertaining, and appreciate his growing style. He is a highly intelligent individual. I subscribe to his private membership site, and feel it's worth triple what I pay for my subscription. This i NOT a sales pitch for Bill, since I've never met him. But I simply want to state, a couple of reviewers expected it to read like 'War and Peace." It's not meant to be that complex of a story. It's written as a fun read, not overly laborious. This work isn't designed to be a work of intellectual art. If that's what your seeking, you may do better reading some college textbooks:>)

Mango Bob (the cat), and Walker (books principle character) really grow on you, and almost become family as you follow them along on their adventures. I like the fact that their adventures aren't outlandish, highly unreal, or exaggerated, but realistic in the real world. The humor is Arapahoes, and fits the dialog, scenes, and theme of all his books. He maintains theme continuity throughout his works, keeping his characters real. In conclusion, all I have to say is "Murrrrrrrr!"
