I must confess that I actually do believe in the notion that many of us have a kind of “mental block” on our ability to attract money. I think part of that reason is because our idea of what it means to be wealthy is unrealistically small minded. We need to set our sights and our expectations much higher when it comes to thinking about and attracting massive amounts of money.
Right off the bat, I’m going to say that I think this book is well written, and that it provides some great insight into establishing the mentality necessary to attract money. The only reason I’m rating this book 3 stars instead of 5 is because I feel that the entire book is simply an advertisement designed to get the reader to pay upfront money to join their “Manifest10K Club”, with additional payments later on down the road. To me, this feels too much like a network marketing type of situation. I feel that if the author was genuine about the process itself and not focused on generating signups to their website, they could have incorporated the plan in a way that would let the reader proceed without having to pay any additional money to the author or publisher, even if other money does need to be laid out in an offering to the "universe". After all, haven’t we already given you our money to be able to read the book in the first place?
Aside from that single point I think the book is well written and that it provides some great information to those who believe, or those who want to be taught to believe, in the mystical ability to attract money. The book goes into detail describing what may be keeping some of us from achieving success in this area, such as having limiting beliefs, trying to force success, or having goals that are too broad and not defined enough. An example of a goal which is too broad would be focusing on achieving wealth, or attracting money, instead of focusing on attracting a specific amount of money, such as $10,000. The book also suggests that the problem could be with our brains resisting the change, and refusing to accept the possibility that great wealth can fall into our lives. I agree with this concept completely. I think that in order for any of us to achieve true success in almost any aspect of our lives, we need to take massive action combined with the wholehearted expectation that our efforts will bring success.
The book describes three 30 day “trimesters”, where specific tasks are completed in the allotted time which will theoretically propel the reader through the program and begin to allow the law of attraction to provide the gravity to bring money into the reader’s life. During the first trimester the reader will identify and focus on what he or she wants. The second trimester consists of creating money beliefs and a money attracting persona, and the third trimester calls for the reader to “step into the experience”, and begin living life as an attractor of money, celebrating “early and often”.
In my personal experience, the type of mental and spiritual adjustment that this book prescribes is absolutely essential to success (in all aspects of life), however it must also be accompanied by real world, brick and mortar steps to provide the total solution and further demonstrate to your psyche that you are serious about and committed to total success. For instance, if you were considering “attracting” $10,000 to pay down credit card debts, I would follow the exercises described in this book while simultaneously developing a plan to begin paying off credit card debt at the same time with traditional methods. This wouldn’t require any additional income. Steps such as acquiring a zero percent interest rate credit card to transfer higher balances too, combined with breaking up monthly payments into smaller weekly installments and earmarking whatever additional funds were available to the task of paying down the debt is the type of massive action that can alter your mind-frame, demonstrate your resolve to yourself, and provide massive results when it comes to eliminating debt.
Overall I thought this was an entertaining and enlightening book, and I recommend that you purchase it if the topic is something that interests you. As I said earlier, I would have given this book a higher rating if I felt it was a stand-alone book as opposed to an advertisement for a money-making scheme.
Whatever your quest in life, don’t procrastinate. Massive action always provides massive results.
So it was completely refreshing to have it pointed out to me what the solution to this was! And unlike Denise Duffield-Thomas who advocates throwing the kitchen sink of solutions at a problem, Cassie stresses keeping it simple and using only one technique at a time. The process takes no more than 20 minutes a day.
I have my 90 days scheduled in my diary now and look forward to joining the ranks of Cassie's success stories!
