The shrink-wrapped packaging damaged several of the inner tabs. They are not very high-quality tabs, so to bend them back straight is just weakening them, and they seem like they may break off with use. The outer box (which was obviously thoughtfully designed) was slightly ripped and a bit banged up. If I'd been giving it as a gift that would have been unacceptable. The promised stickers were not included. I paged through every page of the journal and they were nowhere to be found.
I filed for a return, but it looks like it will be 6 weeks until a replacement can be shipped, even though if I ordered a new one today it would "supposedly" arrive in 7-9 days. Soooo.... wow, I'm disappointed. I'll have to sit with it for a day or so and decide whether to contact Amazon for a straight-up return and cancel the replacement (and look for another journal I like) or live with the defects in this item that was $60. Not cheap for a journal!
Unfortunately, when you pay premium price for something and don't get a premium product, it also leaves kind of a poor taste for the brand. So even if I do decide to go ahead and keep this defective item, I'm unlikely to order it again. Bummer.
