About the Author
Noted for his foresight as both a writer and publisher, Adam Parfrey’s Apocalypse Culture was hailed by J.G. Ballard as “the terminal documents of the Twentieth Century.” According to Disinfo.com, “Adam Parfrey is probably the most influential ‘underground’ publisher in post-millennial America.” In the L.A. Weekly, Doug Harvey celebrates “Adam Parfrey’s notorious, perpetually ahead-of-the-curve company, Feral House, whose encyclopedic interest in taboo (and conveniently forgotten) cultural phenomena helped define independent media ... keeping it broad and porous — often by sheer force of will — for almost two decades.” Adam Parfrey first brought The Manson File to print in 1988 through his previous company, Amok Press (done in collaboration with Kenneth Swezey). No other book dared approach the Manson phenomena from the perspective of the family itself, and not Vincent Bugliosi's conspiracy theory or Christianized confessionals. Due to Parfrey's credited work on Amok Press' initial releases, Mr. Swezey requested that Parfrey not be credited for his work on The Manson File so that Amok Press would not be viewed as a vanity press. With this release, Parfrey is properly credited as the book's primary editor.

This title is part of Feral House's Resurrections line, in which they take out-of-print, hard-to-find titles and revive them in print and digital formats for a new generation of readers. Except for the cover, it is a verbatim recreation of the famous Amok Manson book.
I also disagree with the comment that you can find most of the materials online. There are images, documents and info in this paperback that I've never seen on Manson sites or in web searches. This is a must-have for anyone serious about the subject but who may not have gotten their hands on the original book. Also a great primer for readers just getting acquainted with this infamous character.
