With the purchase of the Manta Ray and Sting Ray squat pads, you now have the chance to incur less pain, less injury, and to improve your stability and range of movement when performing the back and front squats!
With the Manta Ray, the bar no longer rests on the deltoids, or pulls the arms back during the back squat. It transfers the load to the traps exclusively and doesn't involve the shoulder caps. The load is spread over as much as 1600% more surface area than the bar. This eliminates squat-related stress to the shoulder complex including the rotator cuff.
So the Manta Ray takes away that shearing pain in your neck so you can focus on the movement and watch your gains skyrocket!
For the front squat, the Sting Ray lifts the bar off the collarbone, providing easy bar control without stressing shoulder, elbow, or wrists. It allows the widest rack on the body by moving the load out to the front delts, keeping the humerus in a safe neutral position. It decreases the chance of shoulder, elbow or wrist problems that normally occur with common front squats.
The Manta Ray and the Sting Ray are made of high tech polyurethane polymer, virtually indestructible for years of tough use.

The Sting Ray takes a bit of getting used to. It has all the qualities of the Manita Ray (I'm so glad I have 2 now) but you need to get used to it. Easily done. Just snap it on the bar, adjust it to where you what the bar to rest on you and front end squats are made just as easy as the Manta Ray makes Squats and lundges. These items are far under priced.
Update 3/2013 - Ater about 6months of use I stopped using the sting ray. It remained very awkward to use and I was not making substantial gains. Instead I worked on wrist mobility (google wrist mobility or lookup mobilitywod for exercises), and started using wrists to balance the bar creating a shelf on the chest instead of crossing over arms on the chest. Intially when the wrist mobility was not there I used wrist straps and hooked it on the bar and lifted it off holding it. This helped me build a shelf on the chest. Again the mantay ray is very useful, the sting ray not so much.
One thing to note: comfortable fit for a thickly built person - people with narrower builds will probably want to wear a sweatshirt or two - or maybe place a towel over their shoulders for the Manta to fit properly.
The Sting Ray, I'm still getting used to. I have only used it a few times; I try not to use it when other people are in the gym because I am afraid to go heavy and fail with it on.
Manta Ray a Must Buy, Sting Ray...might take me a year to decide.
