Eja Kane and Deming Swann are great partners once again! Dario Peters is Deming's cousin. Dario was killed in a bicycle accident in Bayview a small town on the Cape. Eja and Deming travel to the Cape to comfort Aunt Pert. They soon discover that Dario's death was not an accident! Dario was an avid cyclist and environmentalist. There are residents on the Cape that were not open minded to new development. Eja and Deming meet Aunt Pert's friend Merlot Browne the psychic. Ms. Browne insists that Dario was killed too. From this point forward there are many suspects! This is another SUPERB MUST READ novel by Arlene Kay!

MANTRAP, the second book in Arlene Kay's Boston Uncommons Mysteries, is the author's best book yet. Once again, super sleuth, Eja Kane, is called into action when Dario, a cousin of her handsome, uber-rich fiance, Deming Swan, is fatally wounded in a bicycle accident. But Deming's Aunt Persus turns things upside down when she announces that Mario's death was no accident but a murder most fowl.
With Eja's help and that of a psychic friend, Aunt Pert sets about trying to prove her suspicions.
Interesting characters and an air of mystery permeate the plot as it unfolds toward a surprise ending. As always, the highlights for this reader are the snarky, astute, very entertaining opinions of the heroine, Eja Kane.

Another fine job by author Arlene Kay. This is a fun read, fast paced and chock full of snappy dialogue, especially between the pair of lover/sleuths, Eja Kane and Deming Swann. They come to Cape Cod to investigate a death and find that things are not as they seem. It could cost them dearly. Can they avoid a trap?

The second Boston Uncommons mystery features Eja Kane and Deming Swann on Cape Cod to comfort a beloved aunt when Deming's cousin Dario dies in a bicycle accident. But was it an accident? The longer they stay, the more Dario's dark side emerges. Soon it becomes a case of who DIDN'T want him dead? Excellent plotting, witty dialogue and good twists make this a fun read.

Now I've read all three in the series. I hope there will be more! It would be easy to write about a super rich family in cliches but these books resist that temptation.
