Our old non-mapping Roomba picked up a lot more than the Wyze vac does (when it works). The vac successfully completes it's cleanings only about 50% of the time. Most of the time it goes beyond the virtual walls and gets stuck somewhere, and/or thinks it's beyond the physical walls on the map and just gives up and shuts off. I just tried to get it to clean one of the small rooms it designated on the map. It went partially around the perimeter then and headed back to the base. It's a huge waste of time when the map needs to be reset all the time. We have to set up physical blockades where we don't want it to go, before putting the virtual walls back in. I would not recommend this vac until the software gets fixed.

Bumped it up two stars - After a couple software updates the vac seems to work better as far as not going through virtual barriers, and not thinking it's outside of the map itself. Still has random quirks like stopping during the middle of clean and basically forgetting what it was doing, eventually turning itself off, and losing it's position after I paused it to empty the bin.

1) Does not vacuum within 3~4 inches of any wall or table leg. After a while a gray unvacuumed line will emerge. ("Vacuums as good as a three year old")
2) Unit sends you notifications 24 hours a day, even if you have turned notifications off in the app.
3) Unit will bash and chip and scratch your baseboards.
4) Unit leaves permanent black tire tracks on light colored carpets, especially if they are damp.
5) Unit gets stuck in infinite loops and will wear your carpet raw, or will wear a circle in the carpet.
6) Unit will leave permanent-tracks around all of your furniture, because it travels the same path around furniture every day.
7) Unit gets stuck under toe-kicks a lot. Can't seem to understand a standard American 4" high toe-kick is lower than the LIDAR head.
8) When unit runs out of power and gets lost it doesn't send its last known location, so you have to go hunting it down every day. "Where's my robot?" is a constant waste of time.
9) Technical Support is worthless and unresponsive.
10) You cannot purchase replacement filters.

After that I charged it for 2 hours and off it went. Cleaned the whole house didn't get stuck once and if you look at the picture it cleaned everything! Unlike my dumb eufy that got stuck every 2 seconds.... On my rubber mat under my water cooler, under my entertainment center, on the transition between living room and kitchen. No the wyze vac. Navigated with ease. And how great I can specify no go zones. Kids playroom off limits, under the entertainment system off limits (wires in The way)
It's way quieter too.
Only negative is lack of alexa support, I could command my eufy but I will take one that doesn't piss me off getting stuck every 2 seconds over alexa commands any day.
Tips,
especially with kids, you have to make sure you pick up all their crap before you run these vacuums. That goes for any one of these robot vacs.
Make sure your house is free from obsticals before you run the first mapping
