Top review from the United States

I like Amazon a lot but sometimes they fall down on the job. They list this book as dating from 2009. It does not. The book was published in 1951, over fifty years earlier. The ethnography of Macedonia is a sensitive and at times controversial topic. A book from 2009 would have been relevant to today's issues. A book from 1951 is not, in addition to which the maps are portrayed with rudimentary mid-20th century techniques not close to comparable to today's printed methods. Obviously it also omits any maps which have been produced in the past 63 years. I am not opposed to publishers reviving old books like this, indeed, I rather like it and have bought several. In each case, however, I knew what I was buying. In this case, there wasn't a hint. C'mon Amazon, you're a better company than this.
