I've tried many raw and not-raw almond butters over the past year and this is hands-down my favorite one and I keep coming back to it. It is expensive but in terms of flavor, texture, and overall mouth appeal, it is worth it if you want your almond butter raw and organic.

Artisana Organics Raw Almond Butter is the same price but is slightly larger (14 ounces VS. 12 ounces for the Maranatha). However, flavor-wise it just tastes like someone ground up a handful of unremarkable almonds. I've also tried Gopal's Sprouted Almond Butter (same price but smaller, 8 ounces) and that one is tasty but a bit too thin and oily. The Maranatha has a very smooth, slightly sweet flavor that is unique compared against the other almond butters I've tried. The texture is not too thin and not too thick, but just right. And it tastes awesome right out of the jar.

If you are just starting to venture out into raw almond butters, I would recommend this is as your initial purchase. Then, if you want to try others you will be able to compare them against this one and see which one(s) you like best. I always have a jar of this brand on hand even if I try others, just to test them out.

Picture shows empty jar because it came in a plastic jar.. I do not like plastic so I transferred the contents to a glass jar. I have changed my rating to one star, because the picture shown when buying (same picture is still there on Amazon) shows ingredients to be dry roasted almonds only. However what I received states on plastic jar that ingredients are dry roasted almonds and palm oil.. this is deceptive marketing. I will not be buying again.. I gave such a great review because I did not read the ingredients list having already read it when buying. Previous: I have had lots of raw almond butters. This MaraNatha Organic Creamy Roasted Almond butter is the best, simply the best! Give your mouth a treat and you won't regret it. Why the four stars? I do not like plastic jars and for that price it should have been in a glass jar. Yummy on crackers. Whoosh enjoy.

Picture shows empty jar because it came in a plastic jar.. I do not like plastic so I transferred the contents to a glass jar. I have changed my rating to one star, because the picture shown when buying (same picture is still there on Amazon) shows ingredients to be dry roasted almonds only. However what I received states on plastic jar that ingredients are dry roasted almonds and palm oil.. this is deceptive marketing. I will not be buying again.. I gave such a great review because I did not read the ingredients list having already read it when buying. My husband noticed it and pointed out to me that what is advertised and actual are different. Shame! I drew this issue to Amazon’s attention and received a satisfactory response..

It is very good and easy to spread however you do need to mix and there isn't a lot as it is a smaller bottle and quite expensive for how much product you get, however it is organic and healthier than other brands being sold. I would recommend if you want to overlook price and flavor as it taste very bland but it is organic with no added sugars or anything else so can really say I expected something else.
